As Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa approach their 30th wedding anniversary, Consuelos reflects on their enduring partnership, expressing his belief that he “chose right” in Ripa, and highlighting their shared dreams and plans for the future, which continue to strengthen their bond and inspire fans.
As Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa approach their milestone 30th wedding anniversary next year, the couple is basking in the glow of their enduring partnership.
At the premiere of their new ESPN docuseries, Running with the Wolves, on July 23, 2025, in New York City, Consuelos shared his heartfelt sentiments about their relationship, emphasizing the importance of planning for the future together.
“I’ve been planning with this lady here since the day I met her,” he told PEOPLE, gesturing affectionately toward Ripa.
“That’s part of the beauty of our relationship—always making plans for what comes next.”
The couple, who tied the knot in a spontaneous Las Vegas ceremony in 1996, has navigated the ups and downs of life together, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years.
Consuelos, now 54, expressed his deep appreciation for Ripa, also 54, stating, “I think you have to choose somebody that you can dream with, and I surely chose right.”
His words reflect a profound understanding of the commitment and teamwork that have defined their relationship.
During the premiere event, which celebrated their roles as co-owners of the Italian soccer club Campobasso FC, the couple was asked about their future plans.
While Consuelos teased that they would reveal their plans when they were ready, Ripa playfully chimed in, “If you get any teasers, let me know.”
This lighthearted exchange showcased their chemistry and mutual respect, further endearing them to their fans.
The couple also discussed their professional collaboration, which includes co-hosting Live with Kelly and Mark. Ripa described hosting the show as “the best job I’ve ever had,” praising Consuelos for making everything feel effortless.
“He makes everything so easy,” she remarked, highlighting the comfort and joy they find in working together.
In contrast, Ripa humorously noted her limited involvement in the day-to-day operations of their soccer team, saying, “Co-owning a football club with [Mark and Matt Rizzetta] is absolutely no work for me whatsoever.”
Their dynamic was evident as they playfully bantered about the challenges of their respective roles. Ripa admitted that watching the edits of the show gave her anxiety, recalling how she would “breeze in and out” of the production process.
“Now knowing what was involved and what was at stake, I really did get re-traumatized by it,” she said, laughing at the overwhelming nature of the behind-the-scenes work.
The couple first crossed paths in 1995 while auditioning for All My Children, where Consuelos played Ripa’s love interest. Their chemistry was undeniable, leading them to elope just a year later.
Reflecting on their early relationship, Ripa once shared her belief that men enjoy the thrill of the chase, stating, “I certainly was not going to pursue you.”
Consuelos agreed, acknowledging that this dynamic added intrigue to their romance.
In a candid moment during a March episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa expressed her belief that early in their marriage, it often felt like one partner loved the other more.
“It’s like 65/35, or 67/43,” she explained. Consuelos responded thoughtfully, admitting that he feels Ripa might love him “a little bit more” now, but added, “That’s okay.
I’m fine with that.” Their willingness to openly discuss their feelings illustrates the strength and honesty that characterize their relationship.
As they prepare to celebrate three decades of marriage, Consuelos and Ripa continue to inspire their fans with their genuine affection and shared dreams.
Their journey together is a testament to the power of love, partnership, and the importance of dreaming together.
With their anniversary on the horizon, fans eagerly await what the couple has planned, knowing that whatever it may be, it will undoubtedly reflect the deep bond they have cultivated over the years.
