A week after she was pronounced dead
inside her Brooklyn home Anne’s family
is still searching for answers Why did
this talented star and beloved force of
nature die Okay Do you have a deal with
like the olive oil people
Now People magazine is honoring the bold
life and shocking death of the culinary
talent on this week’s cover Out now I
think Ann’s death is still so shocking
But just hours before her tragic passing
People reports she was in great spirits
and even had her friends laughing The
night before Annne died she had a final
performance for her improv for actors
class She had this hysterical oneliners
and she was just having the best time
the night before she died How funny is
this I’ve never done a cooking demo
sitting down before And we were lucky
enough to share an Ann first when she
invited us inside her kitchen during one
of her last interviews I mean it takes
like 15 minutes to whip together this
whole situation And with such a
beautiful gifted soul a woman whose
immense talent was only surpassed by the
full throttle of her incredible laugh
one that I never tired of hearing At the
Aspen Food and Wine Festival Chef Andrew
Zimmer honored his trailblazing friend
While at her memorial Anne’s husband
closing it out doing a karaoke style
version of the Billy Joel classic Only
the Good Die Young Only the good I own
Tomorrow the Food Network will honor the
talented foodie with a special selection
of an episode A little bit heavy on the
salt but nice job And on July 28th the
premiere of her final season of Worst
Cooks in America shot just months before
her death Churros are not fried enough
They’re soggy A lot of people come up to
me and they ask “Are the people really
that bad?” And I’m like “Oh yes they
certainly are that bad.”
I’m sorry
It’s salty Ann was really one of the
first OG Food Network stars She really
paved a path for women chefs as well
She’ll definitely be missed by so many
people the people at home and her
friends and family Thank you
