Leonardo DiCaprio Needed 27 Takes to Kiss His Co-star Who Was 28 Years Older Than Him
Leonardo DiCaprio found it nigh impossible to kiss an actress 28 years his senior, having to take a whopping number of takes to get it right.

Leonardo DiCaprio is known for a lot, chiefly, his inability to date someone who is not 25 years old.
Despite this being a funny internet meme at this point, DiCaprio did not help his case when the actor allegedly took 27 takes to kiss an actress 28 years his senior.

Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Leonardo DiCaprio is notorious for his love for younger women, most of whom (if not all) do not exceed the age of 25.
But given that the actor had to take 27 shots to kiss someone older than him, the problem has become more than just a meme.
The actress in question was Joanna Lumley.
Leonardo DiCaprio took a while to get into his groove

Leonardo DiCaprio.
Lumley talked to Contactmusic about the kiss, and how long the thing took.
She revealed her exchange with the actor as he was unable to perform the scene.
DiCaprio reportedly took some time ‘to get in the groove’.
The actress said:
“Unfortunately, with the kissing he took a while getting used to it.
So I was like, ‘Try, try again’.
There were 27 takes!”.
DiCaprio finally did get the scene right, where he was to kiss Aunt Emma, the aunt of Naomi Lapagila, who helps DiCaprio’s character siphon money to Swiss Banks.
Aunt Emma, in the scene, stops Jordan (DiCaprio) from kissing her, who makes the move in an awkward manner, after a misunderstanding, with both the characters thinking that the other is hitting on them.
Jordan is relieved when his attempts to kiss Aunt Emma are stopped.
No doubt, DiCaprio had little trouble playing the awkwardness, given how miserable the actor must have been in order to do 27 takes to get it right.
Leonardo DiCaprio holds another record for the production of The Wolf of Wall Street

A still from The Wolf of Wall Street.
While 27 takes can seem like a lot, it is nothing compared to the other enormous number that DiCaprio managed to rack up.
When it comes to swear words in the film, the flick has a more than respectable count of 506 F-words, out of which a whopping 332 instances were delivered by Leonardo DiCaprio himself.
Bringing up the rare of this enormous number were co-stars Jonah Hill, Jon Bernthal and Margo Robbie, with the latter two even failing to hit three-digit numbers.
The Wolf of Wall Street was widely successful and is considered one of the best films of the 2010s.
It must be noted that The Wolf of Wall Street is just another notch in Scorsese’s large filmography filled with profanity, such as the Goodfellas and Casino.
Scorsese’s filmography depends on such expletives to sell the realism in his films, which Scrosese features in his brand of filmmaking heavily, whether it be Goodfellas or The Wolf of Wall Street.
