Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe’s Drunk Story: Leo Did Not Ask For Any Profit While Selling Crowe His Dinosaur Head After Both Got Wasted With Vodka

Weird things do happen when people get drunk, and even stranger when rich Hollywood actors like good friends Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio get wasted.
The Titanic star once revealed he sold a museum-worthy item to his pal while they were hanging out at his house.

Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio.
DiCaprio is not only an Oscar-winning actor, but he is also a hoarder of artworks and other collectibles.
With all the money he earned from making films, he can literally buy whatever he wants – even a dinosaur skull.
Russell Crowe Drunkenly Bought A Dinosaur Skull From Leonardo DiCaprio
Speaking to Howard Stern on Sirius XM, Gladiator actor Russell Crowe revealed he once purchased a dinosaur head from Leonardo DiCaprio, and the business involved a lot of vodka:
“I bought it for my kids, and you know, cut myself a little bit of slack here, there was a bunch of vodka involved in the transaction, and it happened at Leonardo’s house.”.
Crowe shared how the transaction exactly went, as DiCaprio told him another dinosaur skull is coming on the way, and he wants to sell the one in his home.
The former agreed to buy it and asked how much he needed to pay:
“He was pretty cool about it, he said, ‘Just give me what I paid for it’, and I think he paid 30 or 35 grand for it.”.

The host expected a bigger amount, and Crowe explained that it wasn’t a very popular dinosaur.
Stern interjected, “He’s just one of those regular dinosaurs.” He further added that it is such an unusual item to collect, yet Crowe auctioned it off.
The actor clarified:
“Part of the reason for buying it is, when I did buy it which is around about 2008 or 2009, my kids, particularly my oldest, were like fascinated.
They’re into dinosaurs.
So I said, ‘Here you go, here’s one for the playroom.’”.
Crowe seems like a really cool father who would do anything to make his children happy, even if he needs to buy the rest of the dinosaur’s body!.
Russell Crowe Sold Dinosaur Skull To Fund Divorce Battle

Danielle Spence and Russell Crowe.
In 2018, Crowe auctioned the dinosaur skull through Sotheby’s Australia as part of a bidding named Russell Crowe: The Art of Divorce.
The event was prepared to help the actor get funds for his divorce from Danielle Spence.
According to Sotheby’s Australia, the skull was of a Mosasaur, which they described as:
“A fossil relative of the monitor lizard family, which includes the Komodo Drago, the Mosasaur was a giant, serpentine marine reptile, which was prevalent during the Late Cretaceous Period, approximately 65 million years ago.
Mosasaurs were formidable hunters, with a double-hinged jaw and a flexible skull enabling them to eat their prey whole.”
The actor revealed that the dinosaur’s head has “almost doubled in value” since he auctioned it off.
The company said that the item was sold for $65,000.
Crowe also put in sale some of his movie props during the event, which earned over $3.7M.
