Understandably, supporters of Johnny Depp wish to see him reprise his legendary role as the Captain.

Thus, fans gathered outside the Virginia courthouse on Wednesday to show their support for the actor.

In a fan-made video that’s doing rounds on social media, a fan told Depp that he “will always be the Captain Jack Sparrow”.

On all social media platforms, a video of Johnny engaging with his followers has gone viral.

This footage was shared on Twitter following the conclusion of the day’s proceedings in the trial for Depp’s multi-million dollar defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

Fans assembled outside the Fairfax County circuit court to applaud for Depp, who was seen departing in his car, in the clip.

“You’ll always be Captain Jack Sparrow!” screamed a fan at one point.

“He’s still around somewhere, I see him now and again”.

Depp, replied, in his character’s famed British accent.

“He shows up now and again,” Depp added, waving and smiling from his car.

Depp was questioned whether he would come back to the Pirates series for the sixth movie while testifying for his defamation trial, and he responded no.

Jerry Bruckheimer, the films’ producer, is now coming out with a new Pirates instalment minus Depp’s role and has confirmed that Depp will not be returning.

‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ actress Margot Robbie is in negotiations with the producer, according to The Sunday Times.

“We are developing two Pirates scripts, one with her, one without,” he explained.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, one script would be more of a remake, while the other, starring Robbie, will be a fully unique plot with new faces, based on the characters seen on the ride in Disneyland in California.
