Bertrand was so broken, and this is what pushed young Jolie to become an actress.

In her interview with The Guardian, she opened up about joining the world of show business.

I was pushed down a path, and I wanted to be successful to financially help her, and to be able to make more choices in her life and my life.

It was her and her mother’s struggles that motivated Jolie to find a job that would save both of them.

Bertrand not only lost a career but her voice as well.

Jolie realized that her father had more power and influence over her mother in the public eye.

This made her resolute in the sense that she wouldn’t be silenced the way her mother had been.

Jolie said she never came into the acting business merely to become an actor.

“I came into it because that’s where you could have a voice,” she added.

Indeed, she has been using her platform to help people in need, such as actively participating in humanitarian work and educating women and children about their rights.

She was also very vocal about the struggles she faced following her separation from Brad Pitt.

In the midst of the chaotic breakup of Jolie and Pitt, the actress’ father finally breaks his silence and tells Fox News Digital that they should find a way to make peace.

He said the children need stability and protection, urging Pitt to do what he needs to do to “end this nonsense”.
