The detail becomes more interesting now, after reports emerged that Jolie and Johnny Depp, Heard’s ex-husband, have rekindled an old fling.

During a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, Amber Heard was asked about an actor or actress whom she loved and admired for their work.

Heard replied:

I can’t think of anyone who’s better accomplished the kind of trajectory that I admire better than Angelina Jolie.

She’s really parlayed her life in the public eye and used it to her advantage as opposed to just living life as a recluse.

She particularly mentioned it in the context of how she dealt with the public perception and paparazzi, something Heard also faced.

The young actress could learn a lot from Jolie, who built a solid reputation with action, comedy, and dramatic roles.

Jolie also appeared alongside Depp in the 2010 movie, The Tourist.

Interestingly, Jolie reportedly didn’t approve of Depp’s relationship with Heard and even expressed her dislike for Heard.

A report even suggested that Jolie tried to warn Depp against the relationship.

The 2014 report said, “Angelina Jolie is giving romance advice to old pal Johnny Depp warning him he may be making a big mistake marrying Amber Heard.”.

Depp apparently paid a huge price for not paying heed to Jolie’s advice at the time.

This insider told Star Magazine that the couple has allegedly gotten together multiple times in the recent past.

The source shared, “They’ve gotten together in London and L.A. without anyone catching on.”.

The source noted that Depp and Jolie were going to great lengths to keep what’s between them a private affair.

They shared, “They go to great lengths to stay under the radar.” It was reported that Depp and Jolie had a thing for each other when they worked on their film, The Tourist.

At that point, Depp was in a relationship with Vanessa Paradis, while Jolie was together with Pitt.

The source even shared that Depp pursued Amber Heard because she reminded him of Jolie.

The source shared, “A lot of people are convinced Angie’s the reason Johnny fell so hard for [estranged ex-wife] Amber Heard.

She was like a version of Angie.” According to the source, the couple is trying to bring that old spark back.

However, their romance is reportedly stuck in “first gear”.

The source attributed this pace of their romance to Jolie, who is still shaking off the trauma from her previous relationship.

However, the source shared that she wasn’t discouraging Depp either.

Angie keeps some emotional distance though she’s not exactly discouraging him.

But if it were up to Johnny, this would be a lot more serious.

However, there is no evidence to back this romance rumor.

The only verifiable account of anything concrete between the two is Jolie’s admission that she had a crush on Depp.

Three years ago, a Virginia jury ruled in favor of Johnny Depp in his defamation case against Amber Heard.

The jury largely sided with Depp against Heard, finding her liable for defaming the actor with her op-ed article for The Washington Post.

After several appeals, both parties reached a settlement.

Depp tied the knot with Heard in 2015, following a three-year relationship that began in 2012.

Their relationship began shortly after his separation from model Vanessa Paradis.

However, the Fantastic Beasts actor faced allegations of physical abuse from Heard, leading to her filing for divorce in 2016.

The ex-couple engaged in a fierce legal battle, with Depp filing defamation lawsuits against Heard and NGN, while Heard countered with her own suits in the Depp v Heard and Depp v NGN cases.

While Heard eventually settled it with Depp, the damage to her image was already done.
