The flyweight queen may have been the only person not impressed by this performance.

Zhang Weili is fast approaching her chance to make history as the first woman to win UFC gold at both 115 and 125 pounds.
In the co-main event of UFC 322 at Madison Square Garden, Weili will challenge Valentina Shevchenko after vacating the strawweight throne earlier this year.
During her two reigns in the lighter division, ‘Magnum’ put in a number of performances that helped her attain legend status. If you ask any fan, one win in particular is likely to come to mind.
But that may not be the case for Shevchenko given how she reacted to her upcoming opponent’s all-time classic in 2020…
Valentina Shevchenko was not impressed by Zhang Weili’s ‘Fight of the Year’ win over Joanna Jedrzejczyk
After Weili knocked out Jessica Andrade in 42 seconds to win the strawweight title in her home country, she made her first defense against the division’s consensus greatest at that time, Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
While Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero met in a lackluster main event at UFC 248 in March 2020, there was nothing disappointing about the co-headliner.
In fact, Weili and Jedrzejczyk’s five-round war is widely considered a contender for the greatest fight in UFC history. The Chinese star was the one who emerged victorious, having her hand raised by way of a tight split decision after leaving her Polish opponent badly swollen.

Shevchenko, however, disagreed with the result.
“I think Joanna was more — her accuracy was more on point, and she had more clear strikes,” Shevchenko told TMZ.
“The one thing was (the hematoma on) her head, right? But it was not kind of the result of many punches. It was just one punch in the third round when you can see her head blow up and start to swell.
“It’s obvious it went this way. It was not (from) getting that kind of pressure, getting that kind of power. It was just one hit,” she added.
Not only did Shevchenko think that Weili lost the fight, but she also believed it proved that ‘Magnum’ was not good enough to beat elite-level opposition.
“I see now, competing in the top level competition, you can tell what she is in reality. She is good. Good fighter, but it’s not enough for the high, elite competition.
“Definitely, I wish her good luck at first, of course, but I cannot see her defending her title in the next fight.”
Dana White had nothing but praise for Zhang Weili after UFC 248
It is safe to say that Dana White saw things differently to Shevchenko.
Giving his assessment of the Chinese star’s performance at UFC 248, the promotion’s president described the then-strawweight queen as “something special” and predicted she would only improve.
“My phone was blowing up (with) everybody saying it was the greatest fight they’ve ever seen,” White said at the post-fight press conference.
“We always knew she (Weili) was special and we started moving her the way you move somebody you think is special.
“Tonight she went in against the best ever from that division, the woman who built that division, defended the belt five times,” he added.
“Joanna came in in ridiculous shape. I only expect (Weili) to get better, to look better.”
