It was quite the night for Bryce Mitchell.

UFC Vegas 12: Bryce Mitchell Interview after Unanimous Decision Win

The UFC bantamweight contender is never too far from the bizarre when he surfaces on social media, where many of Mitchell’s comments have turned him into a controversial and polarizing figure among fans.

Recently, though, ‘Thug Nasty’ was asking for their help.

In a video on Instagram, a bloodied Mitchell showcased a gruesome broken nose, seemingly suffered during a training session. Looking to avoid the costs of resetting the nose in hospital, the 31-year-old made a public plea for anybody who could fix the damage for free.

“I need my nose straightened out. I just got it broken, you can tell it’s sideways,” Mitchell said.

“Dude, the doctors are so expensive. They’re $2,000 or some s— just to set my nose. Can somebody in Searcy, by the grace of God, please set my nose back for free?”

‘Thug Nasty’ is fortunately without a fight on the calendar as it stands. Mitchell beat Said Nurmagomedov at UFC Abu Dhabi last time out, marking a successful debut at 135 pounds.

After posting his nose break, Mitchell later returned with a separate update video. The grappling specialist revealed that a friend had reset his nose for free and explained why he had made the public plea.

“I want to let you all know that I’m doing really good,” Mitchell said. “I’m totally healed, thank the lord.

“I apologize for looking like a cheapskate. Right when that happened, my brain went into primal survival instinct, and I started thinking, ‘This is going to be expensive. This is going to be thousands of dollars to fix.’ It’s a shame that’s where my brain went to.

“That was my main concern,” he continued. “My buddy did fix it for free.”

This isn’t Bryce Mitchell’s first gruesome non-UFC injury

‘Thug Nasty’ certainly has a history of gruesome injuries suffered away from the Octagon.

In 2018, Mitchell had a horrible drilling accident that left his nether regions considerably damaged. He displayed a bloody picture of his underwear alongside a post announcing the bizarre injury on Facebook.

On that occasion, the Arkansas native opted to pay the medical expenses — and he’s glad that he did.

“When I ripped my nuts in half, it was only $1,250,” Mitchell said after the latest incident. “That was the best $1,250 I ever spent.”
