Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is still planning a shock future move, which could put him in rarefied air.

Earlier this month, the premier promotion returned to Las Vegas for another PPV, with UFC 320 headlined by a light heavyweight title rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.
That wasn’t the only big 205lb fight on the card, though, as Jiri Prochazka took on Khalil Rountree Jr in a fight that had big title implications.
And after losing the first two rounds, ‘The Last Samurai’ once again showcased his championship spirit when he came from behind in round three to score a blockbuster knockout, registering his second win in a row.
Prochazka still planning shock future career move

Following the UFC 320 main event between Pereira and Ankalaev, Prochazka was seen crying tears of joy at the fight, potentially because it puts him in place for a possible trilogy against ‘Poatan’.
Despite that, the Brazilian champion is hoping to move up to heavyweight and he is eyeing a super fight against Jon Jones at the UFC White House event in 2026.
And with that, Prochazka has opened up on a potential vacant light heavyweight title fight against a soaring contender who is currently on a nine fight win streak.
Not only that, but the Czech fan favorite has also admitted he is still planning a future move down to the middleweight division, after previously considering it following losses to Pereira.
“I said to my team when I will move to middleweight, just when I have won the (light heavyweight) title,” Prochazka told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive interview.
“In that possibility, I will move to middleweight to fight the champion. But this is, I don’t like to speak about ‘When I win this, I will fight this and do this’, no, right now I’m fully focused, 100% focused, just for the (light heavyweight) title, that’s all I can do. Maybe then, after my next fight,” he continued.
How would Prochazka match up to current champion Khamzat Chimaev?

Prochazka is an extremely unique fighter, not only because of his training regime, but because of the fact that he doesn’t cut weight like the majority of other fighters.
At 6’3″, the Czech fighter would be a huge fighter at middleweight, and would likely cause the majority of the division problems.
At the moment, though, the champion of the division is Khamzat Chimaev, who is also regarded as a big middleweight, with a dominant wrestling style.
Despite that, Prochazka’s unique striking style is enough to cause ‘Borz’ problems and it would undoubtedly be one of the craziest fights the promotion could put together.
