Madonna’s ex Dennis Rodman gets candid about what he really thought of the pop star when they briefly dated in 1994, during his time with the San Antonio Spurs NBA team

Madonna’s NBA star ex Dennis Rodman shares what he really thought of the origin of their whirlwind 1990s romance during his appearance on In Depth with Graham Besinger.

In the snippet from their sit down that In Depth host Graham shared on his TikTok page, Dennis didn’t hold back when Graham asked him about his past relationship with the pop star. The basketball legend was very honest when Graham asked “what he was thinking” after he revealed Madonna “said on television” that she “thought ‘Dennis Rodan was cool as f- -k and wanted to meet him.’”

The eccentric pop culture icon simply admitted that when he heard the Like A Virgin singer said that on TV he didn’t think “a damn thing [of it].”

At the time, Dennis “thought it was a joke” that Madonna was attempting to connect with him.

“[Madonna] was chasing me in San Antonio,” he revealed, confessing that the Grammy winner was pursuing him when he was playing for the NBA team, San Antonio Spurs. He played for the team from 1993 to 1995, and they briefly dated in 1994.

“Everyday I go to practice [they say] ‘Dennis, Madonna keeps calling for you,’ I said ‘who,’ they say ‘Madonna’ I say ‘the singer.’…I just kept blowing it off,” Dennis said providing more details about the early stages of their romance.

“Next thing you know she actually showed up,” Dennis said, implying she came to one of his Spurs practices.

However, he didn’t seem to be impressed as he noted: “What I’m supposed to jump up and down because it’s Madonna? No. Madonna was Madonna.”

While another guy might’ve been overly obsessed with the singer-songwriter, Dennis admitted that he was too consumed with his NBA career then to truly be focused on her.

“I wasn’t even thinking about her,” he divulged. “I thought her music sucked all bubble gum and s- -t.”

He added, he also “didn’t give a s – – t.”
