She removed the television from the wall. She set a rule for herself: no phones past a certain hour, and especially not in the bedroom. Instead, she placed a warm Himalayan salt lamp on her nightstand and kept a stack of physical books nearby — the kind with pages you actually turn, covers that carry the weight of being held.
It wasn’t an overnight miracle. The first few days were strange — quiet in a way that felt almost uncomfortable. But then, things began to shift.
She started falling asleep faster. Waking up feeling less tense. She found herself dreaming again — vivid, sometimes bizarre, sometimes beautiful dreams that she hadn’t experienced in years.
“Removing the TV was the beginning,” Jennifer later shared in an interview. “But really, it was about reclaiming a boundary between the outside world and my inner world. I needed to separate the noise from the stillness. And for me, that began in the bedroom.”
She said she started sleeping not just longer, but better. Deeper. Waking up with a clearer mind, a more grounded sense of self.
“And strangely enough,” she added with a smile, “I started looking forward to bedtime again.”
The shift rippled into the rest of her life. Mornings weren’t just something to survive anymore — they became something to enjoy. She would make coffee, read a few pages, go for a walk.
And more than anything, she said, she felt like she was finally reconnecting with herself.
“In this world, especially in this industry, everything’s about speed. Fast information. Fast responses. Fast entertainment,” Jennifer reflected. “But the moment I slowed down — when I let go of needing to be ‘plugged in’ every second — something opened up inside me again. Something I didn’t even realize I had lost.”
Today, Jennifer’s bedroom looks a little different from what most might expect for an A-list celebrity. No glowing screens. No late-night scrolling. Just soft light, good books, and the quiet kind of peace you can only find when you unplug from the rest of the world.
And to her, that’s not giving something up — that’s gaining something back.
“My sleep returned,” she said. “And with it, so did I.”
