Janet Jackson is celebrating her mom Katherine and brother Jackie’s latest trips around the sun.

The “Rhythm Nation” icon, 58, took to Instagram over the weekend and paid tribute to Katherine and Jackie as they turned 95 and 74, respectively, on their shared May 4 birthday with a sweet note.

“A living testament to grace, strength, and love, turns 95 today,” wrote Janet of Katherine. “May God continue to wrap you in His kindness, filling each new day with joy, comfort, and the warmth of those who cherish you.”

She added of her mom, “You are a gift beyond measure, and my soul is forever grateful for you. I love you.”

Alongside a photo of Katherine and Jackie, the five-time Grammy winner shifted focus to her brother and continued, “Jackie, I’m so incredibly blessed to have you in my life! I love you dearly and I pray your special day is filled with joy & happiness!”

In the comments underneath the post, Janet and Jackie’s sister La Toya wrote, “Yes Jan she’s extremely special and definitely a gift from God. I am blessed to have her as a mother!”

La Toya added, “A big happy birthday to you Jackie! I love you both!”

Jackie also shared a celebratory post to his own Instagram account, writing alongside a photo of himself and Katherine, “Happy Birthday to the most incredible woman I know—my beautiful mother and the matriarch of our family, Katherine Jackson.”

“There’s no one I’d rather share my birthday with. Your strength, love, and wisdom have shaped who I am, and I’m forever grateful. Here’s to many more celebrations together. Love you always,” continued Jackie.

In addition to Janet, Jackie and La Toya, Katherine is mom to Rebbie, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy as well as the late Brandon (who died after birth in 1957), Michael (who died at age 50 in 2009) and Tito (who died at age 70 in September 2024).

One month after Tito’s death, Janet shared a tribute to her Instagram Stories, writing, “May you rest in eternal peace 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I miss you so much! ❤️”
