‘Great Guy’ Akeem Morris ‘Won Over’ Madonna’s 6 Kids: ‘He Fits in Really Well’ With Her Family

Madonna and boyfriend Akeem Morris are stronger than ever after rekindling their romance earlier this year following a brief split, which is great news for her six kids, too, as a source exclusively tells Life & Style the former footballer has already won them over in a big way.

“Madonna has fully integrated Akeem into her life and family, he’s with her all the time,” the insider says. “Fortunately for her kids, he actually fits in really well with the family dynamic.”

Despite the 38-year age difference between The Queen of Pop, 66, Jamaica-born Akeem, who now coaches soccer, has managed to cozy up to his girlfriends children — Rocco , 24, David , 19, Mercy , 19, twins Stella and Estere , 12, and even Lourdes , who is the same age as Akeem at 28. The source notes he’s taken his time getting to know all of them and has shown Madonna’s brood he’s serious about his relationship with their mom.

“He’s very respectful of all her kids and doesn’t try to throw his weight around or ever tell them what to do. It might sound really awkward considering he’s the same age as Lourdes, but they’re all so used to their mom having a much younger boyfriend that it doesn’t faze any of them,” the insider adds.

To add to the happy family dynamic, Akeem shares a lot of the same interests with his girlfriend’s kids, including soccer.

“Rocco and David are huge soccer fans, so they love that Akeem used to be a pro player,” the insider explains. “They always get a game going when they’re all together at the house.”

With a mom as famous for dating younger men as Madonna, the children have become something of experts when assessing her boytoys. Since splitting from her second husband, director Guy Ritchie , in 2008, she’s been linked to numerous much-younger hunks, including French model and dancer Brahim Zaibat back in 2010, choreographer Timor Steffens in 2014, dancer and choreographer Ahlamalik Williams around 2019, and boxing trainer and Summer House star Josh Popper in 2023.

In fact, the insider says, “All the kids are very observant, they’re usually better than their mom at sniffing out when a guy is using her.”

But Madonna and Akeem have more history together than most of her previous boyfriends, especially since her divorce. The Daily Mail even reported on their apparent split back in October 2024, with a different source telling the publication she “ran into the same issue with this boytoy as she has with all of her recent men — the age difference became an issue,” and that, “They come from different time periods. Madonna felt Akeem had a wandering eye , because he did.”

Though, the definitely had patched things up by last holiday season when Akeem was seen hitting the slopes with the Material Girl and her kids, which means he’s likely around to stay if they’ve already put that much effort into what many had suspected would just be another fling.

“They were wary of Akeem at first,” the first source continues, “but he’s won them over, he’s a great guy and very sincere, they trust him, which is huge!”
