The Bachelor season 29 leading man Grant Ellis admitted that “it was very comfortable” going through his breakup on the “happiest day” of his life during the finale.

Grant, a now-31-year-old day trader from Newark, New Jersey, chose Juliana Pasquarosa, a 28-year-old client service associate from Newton, Massachusetts, and Litia Garr, a 31-year-old venture capitalist from Salt Lake City, Utah, as his final two women.

Since The Bachelor season 29 premiered, Grant’s finale teasers have shown him torn between the two women until moments before his proposal, which has led some fans to believe that he never should’ve been cast.

Grant Ellis admitted that “it was very comfortable” going through his breakup on the “happiest day” of his life during The Bachelor season 29 finale.

In an interview with SwooonGrant revealed that breaking up with either Juliana or Litia and then choosing the other was not easy for him to do.

Grant shared that he “had an idea of what my heart wanted” at the end of The Bachelor, but “just mustering up the courage to tell somebody that you really care about that they’re not your first” made it hard for him.

Grant admitted, “It’s weird because it’s one of the happiest days of your life, but before you do that, you have to break up with somebody that you really care about.

It’s definitely a weird twist of emotions, and I just had to prepare.” When speaking about his breakup with his runner-up, Grant confessed, “It was very uncomfortable, very uncomfortable,” quickly adding, “But it led to something that is happy.”

Although the breakup was uncomfortable, Grant isn’t worried about speaking to his runner-up during the live “After the Final Rose” episode.

He said, “I’m not nervous, just because I know I was the most genuine person I could be. I led with my heart.”

Grant added, “I really tried to do things the right way, so whatever consequences come with that, I have to face them head on.

Everybody’s going to have their own opinion on you and how you carried yourself, but coming from where I come from and being where I’ve been and just getting to experience this all, I couldn’t be more appreciative. I put my heart out there, and I was the most genuine person I could be. I have no regrets.”

It was very uncomfortable, very uncomfortable. But it led to something that is happy.

What Grant Feeling Uncomfortable Filming Finale Means For Final Decision

Grant’s Relationship Could Be In Trouble

It’s been shocking to watch how torn Grant was between Juliana and Litia, especially when he said that there was a proposal coming up, but he wasn’t sure which woman he wanted to propose to.

During his Fantasy Suite dates, Grant told Juliana that he was falling in love with her, while he told Litia, “I love you.” It’s easy to imagine that a breakup with either one of them would be uncomfortable because Grant arguably led them on with his words of love.

It also might be hard for the woman to whom Grant got engaged to watch him telling another woman he loved her just a week before their proposal.

Grant’s relationship could already be in trouble if he did end up popping the question. While fans hope this isn’t true, Grant’s uncomfortable body language during the “Women Tell All” episode when the preview for the end of the season aired was another clue that there could be trouble in paradise. However, he did say that he had no regrets.

Although Grant said that his finale breakup led to something happy, I hope that he left The Bachelor in a relationship rather than getting engaged.

I think that, if Grant was so unsure about Juliana and Litia before his proposal, then that means that he wasn’t ready to get engaged. They’re both wonderful women who could be great matches for him, but the hard truth is that they simply didn’t know each other well enough to take such a big step.

Grant should’ve just continued to date his final choice in the real world before getting engaged.

The Bachelor's Grant Ellis smiling with red flags behind him

As The Bachelor S29 approaches its season finale, I’m over Grant Ellis as the lead because he’s too indecisive, and I’m worried about how it’ll end.

I wish that Grant’s Bachelor season had been longer so that he had more time to get to know the women.

The pressure that he felt to propose to Juliana or Litia might end up destroying his relationship in the end. I hope that Grant found the love that he very much wants and deserves, but I fear that his finale might not end with a happily-ever-after.
