The Vice President was grilled on whether he will follow Donald Trump and buy a Tesla after multiple were seen at the White House

When appearing on Fox News, Vice President JD Vance was asked a tricky question, in which he tried to get out of answering.
Fox’s Laura Ingraham asked the VP if he was going to buy a Tesla with him simply saying: “I can’t drive anymore.”
Ingraham could have easily taken it for what it was, that the politician doesn’t drive and is not in need of a car, but instead she called him out for avoiding the question, reports the Irish Star.

She said: “It’s a nice dodge, a nice DOGE,” making a play on words, referring to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is headed by Elon Musk, who is also CEO of Tesla.
JD Vance shed light on an uncomfortable cabinet meeting which saw Elon Musk in attendance, despite not being a member of President Donald Trump’s inner circle.
While on Fox News, the VP said: “I don’t think there’s tension. There’s certainly disagreement from time to time. We aren’t going to agree on every single issue within the administration but the president has been very clear Elon’s doing a great job, and obviously we appreciate what he’s doing, Marco (Rubio) I think is doing an incredible job at Secretary of State.”
He added: “I had high expectations he’s actually succeeded those expectations.”
In the capital, the occasionally conflicting directives from Rubio, Musk, and Marocco concerning US AID reductions have caused confusion about who is in control, sparking speculations of internal power struggles.
Some suggest that Rubio and Musk may not be each other’s biggest fans and find it challenging to collaborate.
Vance brought this topic to Ingraham’s show, addressing the rumored “clash” between the two.
He said: “It does annoy me that that leaked, I will say, that story wasn’t totally true to be clear. ”
He added: “We need to have conversations. We need to have conversations we need to be able to talk to each other and solve this stuff without some random staffer leaking it I suspect that’s what happened.”

As for Musk, he made quite an entrance during Trump’s premiere cabinet gathering as the nation’s 47th president, where he was seen pacing around the table while the cabinet members appeared somber.
Musk and Rubio, following Trump’s lead from last week, have both insisted that their relationship is solid.
“Good working with you,” Musk tweeted in response to Rubio’s announcement.
“Tough, but necessary,” Musk commented on Rubio’s announcement regarding the cuts.
Trump dismissed reporters’ inquiries about alleged tensions between Musk and Rubio last week.
“You’re not supposed to be asking that question,” Trump rebuffed an NBC reporter during a press briefing in the Oval Office on Friday.
This followed a reportedly heated Cabinet meeting where Musk and Rubio clashed, with claims that Musk complimented the cabinet official for his television presence and noted he had fired “nobody.”
The New York Times reported that Rubio had been “privately furious” with Musk for weeks due to changes at the United States Agency for International Development, which falls under Rubio’s purview.
Trump denied the report, stating: “No clash I was there. You are not supposed to be asking that question because we are talking about the World Cup.”
“Elon gets along great with Marco and they are both doing a fantastic job,” the President concluded.
