Fox News star Kat Timpf underwent successful breast cancer surgery for the frightening diagnosis she got just before giving birth to her first child.
Timpf, 36, was at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan on Thursday afternoon for a double mastectomy, she shared in a “Post-op!” post on Instagram.
“They’re honestly not much smaller than they were before I got pregnant,” the comedian joked in the caption of her lying in a hospital bed.

Timpf shared an update with her fans last week, saying that once she has recovered from giving birth, she would need to have a double mastectomy to “get rid of my cancer.”
“Once I recover from childbirth, my mole removal scars heal, I get a double mastectomy, get rid of my cancer, have breast reconstruction surgery & am physically capable of getting back in the gym, it’s OVER FOR U B—-Z,” the new mother previously wrote on her Instagram.
A double mastectomy — also known as a bilateral mastectomy — is a surgical procedure in which both breasts are removed, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The surgery is often performed as a treatment for breast cancer, but in some cases, to reduce the risk of a person ever developing the disease.
After Thursday’s update showing she successfully underwent the procedure, Timpf’s fans flooded the comment section of her post to wish her a speedy recovery.

“Miss you on Guttfeld [sic]. Speedy recovery and enjoy your little guy,” one fan commented.
“Heal quickly sweet thing! We miss you!” another wrote.
“You are Wonder Woman and you are doing this with Grace and still making us laugh! Way cool Kat! Praying for you,” another commented.
Timpf first announced her breast cancer diagnosis in a heartfelt social media post in late February.
The regular on the late-night show “Gutfeld!” revealed that she learned of her condition just hours before she welcomed her firstborn child with husband Cameron Friscia.

“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world,” she wrote on X. “About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.”
Timpf explained in her post that the cancer was caught early, with her doctor telling her it’s at “Stage 0 and is confident it almost certainly hasn’t spread.”
In the weeks after making the announcement, Timpf admitted feeling overwhelmed by unsolicited medical advice and addressed her followers directly.
“First of all, thank you so much for all the support, it’s meant so much to me. This is obviously a really crazy, difficult, unexpected time, and I really do appreciate it,” the Fox News host said in a video on Instagram in early March.
“But I wanted to address a few things because I’ve also been overwhelmed with, I guess you could say, medical advice?”
She told her fans that while many people had good intentions, some questioned her decision to undergo a double mastectomy.
The Fox News host said certain individuals had shared with her stories about their own loved ones who were diagnosed with stage-zero breast cancer and had opted for a lumpectomy instead of a full mastectomy.

Others — identifying themselves as medical professionals — suggested that a double mastectomy for stage-zero cancer seemed “extreme.”
“I just want to say, trust me, there’s no one for whom that seems more extreme than me,” Timpf responded.
“I don’t take cutting my t—s off lightly. As a general rule, I don’t think any woman does. I find it devastating. But I am very grateful to have access to the opinions of many brilliant minds when it comes to breast cancer.”
While she was grateful for the support and acknowledged the emotional toll of the procedure, Timpf emphasized that she trusted the expert medical team guiding her through this process and that her priority was to stay healthy and present for her child’s future.
Timpf has been working at Fox News since 2017 and has been a regular on “Gutfeld!” since 2023.
