Sylvia Elsrode is no stranger to controversy, but her recent comments to her The Challenge All Stars: Rivals partner, KellyAnne Judd, have sparked a wave of backlash from fans.

The heated argument between the two women, which aired during episode 3 of the season, quickly escalated into a fiery confrontation that involved an intense verbal exchange.

Sylvia’s comment, “You have dogs. I have a family. Not the same,” in response to KellyAnne’s frustration over Sylvia quitting the competition, has left viewers questioning her intentions.

Now, the reality star is speaking out and offering her thoughts on the situation, acknowledging her regret and providing insight into the pressures of competing on the show.

The fight between Sylvia and KellyAnne took place after Sylvia made the decision to quit the challenge, which forced KellyAnne to also withdraw. The two women, already struggling with their partnership, sat down to have a conversation about their issues.

The discussion quickly turned into an argument, with KellyAnne expressing her disappointment in Sylvia for not giving her all in a high-stakes competition.

Sylvia, feeling overwhelmed and dealing with postpartum emotions just three months after having her baby, struggled to articulate her feelings in a way that would resonate with KellyAnne.

Sylvia’s response, in which she compared her responsibilities as a mother to KellyAnne’s relationship with her pets, was met with anger from KellyAnne, and it sparked a firestorm online.

Reflecting on the argument, Sylvia admits that she said things she deeply regrets. “It’s tough. It was a very situational experience.

Not something I’m proud of, but, obviously, when I’m upset or angry, I say mean things, and it’s definitely something that needs to be worked on,” she said in a recent interview.

“I wish I would’ve said, ‘We all have better things to do,’ or, ‘Yes, KellyAnne, I do too,’ instead of making her experience less than mine.

I should have done better, but I fell short.” Sylvia goes on to explain that her reaction was rooted in a combination of personal stress and the high-pressure environment of the competition. “It was a lot of pressure.

I was three months postpartum. I’ve never quit a challenge before, but this one, I just couldn’t mentally get myself out there. I felt like I tried to explain that to her, but she wasn’t understanding.”

Despite the tension between them, Sylvia and KellyAnne managed to make amends the following day, with Sylvia apologizing for her words.

The two women ultimately moved forward, but not before being thrown into elimination, where they were defeated by Adam Larson and Steve Meinke.

Sylvia’s journey on the show was short-lived, but the emotional toll of the experience has lingered with her. “It’s definitely a lesson learned,” she says.

The online backlash Sylvia received for her comment about KellyAnne’s dogs was harsh, and Sylvia was disappointed by the way the situation played out on screen.

She expressed frustration with the editing choices, wishing that her apology had been shown alongside the argument in the same episode.

“I wish the apology and the argument were all in one episode, so maybe I would not get as much backlash that I got for a full week,” she explained.

“But I also am a firm believer in, until you pay my mortgage or decide to pick up any of my car payments, your opinion is a grain of salt to me. I’ve got other problems to deal with than what somebody thinks of me on TV.”

Despite the negative response, Sylvia remains resolute in her decision to take part in The Challenge All Stars: Rivals.

She also addresses the criticism she’s faced for leaving her three-month-old child to compete on the show, pointing out that other cast members, including Leroy Garrett, also left their young children behind for the competition.

“I know I get a lot of grief for leaving my three-month-old, but I would also like to point out that Leroy’s baby was born on the same day as my son, so he also left a baby at three months.

It’s not just me, guys! But when given that opportunity, you take advantage of them,” Sylvia says. She emphasizes that opportunities like The Challenge are rare and worth pursuing, even if it means making personal sacrifices.

Sylvia also reflected on her partnership with KellyAnne, noting that while they may not have formed a close friendship, they have made peace with one another. “We’re friendly with each other.

I wouldn’t say we’re the best of friends, but we definitely check in on each other,” Sylvia said. “There’s no bad blood between us.” The two women have remained in touch throughout the airing of the season, even discussing their weddings, which happened just a week apart.

Looking back at her time on The Challenge All Stars: Rivals, Sylvia acknowledges that there were valuable lessons learned. “If I ever do come back for more seasons, I’ll never quit a challenge again,” she says.

She also mentions that her experience has taught her the importance of being more open-minded toward others’ personalities and working better with teammates.

“I think I need to get out of that mindset of only relying on my friends. It’s about numbers, and you don’t necessarily know everything that people are going through,” Sylvia explains.

As Sylvia’s time on The Challenge came to an end, she didn’t expect her journey to be over so quickly. “We were shocked when we got thrown into elimination.

It was crazy,” she recalls. However, she adds that had they stayed in the competition longer, they could have proven themselves as a formidable team.

“Had we had the opportunity to stay a little bit longer, people would’ve been really shocked with how well we were going to be able to do,” Sylvia says, reflecting on the potential her partnership with KellyAnne had.

With her time on The Challenge behind her, Sylvia remains focused on her personal life and future opportunities, including the possibility of returning to the show for future seasons. “It’s about learning from your mistakes, getting better, and moving forward,” she concludes.

For now, she’s content with the lessons she’s learned and the growth she’s experienced, both on and off the screen.
