Grimes Calls Out Elon Musk Publicly Over Child’s Medical Crisis: ‘This is Urgent, Elon’

Grimes, the enigmatic musician and former partner of Elon Musk, took to social media in a desperate bid to get the billionaire’s attention, pleading with him to respond to their child’s medical crisis.

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) that were quickly deleted, the singer, whose real name is Claire Boucher, accused Musk of ignoring her texts, calls, and emails regarding an urgent health issue concerning one of their three children.

“Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly, but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention,” she wrote in an emotional post on Thursday.

Though she did not specify which of their children—X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, or Techno Mechanicus, 2—was in distress, Grimes made it clear that the situation was dire.

When questioned by other users about her decision to go public, she replied, “I’m not giving any details, but he won’t respond to texts, calls, or emails and has skipped every meeting.

Our child will suffer lifelong impairment if he doesn’t respond ASAP. So I need him to f—ing respond, and if I have to apply public pressure, then I guess that’s where we’re at.”

The public plea was met with a flurry of reactions, with some supporting her decision to air the issue online, while others criticized her for making such personal matters public.

However, this is far from the first time Grimes has expressed frustration with Musk’s parenting approach.

Since their high-profile relationship began in 2018 and their subsequent split in 2021, Musk and Grimes have navigated a complex and often contentious co-parenting dynamic.

“I didn’t see one of my babies for five months,” she claimed at the time.

Grimes’ mother, journalist and former Crown prosecutor Sandy Garossino, also spoke out against Musk last year, further highlighting the tension between the two parties. In July 2024, she wrote directly to Musk on X, stating, “I’m writing here as the only way I have to reach you.

As you know, my 93-year-old mother is now at end-of-life palliative care. She yearns to see and hold Claire’s children one last time, especially the youngest, whom she has not yet met.”

While Musk has remained silent on these matters, his complex relationship with his children has been widely reported.

His eldest child, Vivian Jenna Wilson, publicly distanced herself from him in 2022, legally changing her name and declaring that she wanted nothing to do with him.

Musk has since expressed his discontent with what he refers to as “woke ideology,” blaming it for the rift between him and his daughter.

Musk, who has fathered at least 11 children with various partners, has often boasted about his belief in the importance of procreation, calling population collapse a greater threat than climate change.

However, critics have pointed out that his hands-off approach to parenting—along with the overwhelming demands of running multiple companies, including Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, and X—raises questions about how involved he truly is in his children’s lives.

Grimes’ latest public outcry only adds to these concerns. If what she claims is true, Musk has allegedly skipped every meeting regarding their child’s health, leaving her with no choice but to turn to the public for help.

The situation has reignited debates over Musk’s ability to balance his personal and professional life, with many questioning whether his relentless pursuit of technological advancements and business expansion comes at the cost of his responsibilities as a father.
