her life Ultra private rarely seen in

public he’s funny he makes me laugh a

lot one half of an astonishingly rare

show biz marriage away far away from the

spotlight that lasted 58 years after

tying the knot on Memorial Day May 30th

1966 it’s a long time we’ve been

together we can be quiet together or we

can be fun together

 

we dol’s husband Carl Dean died

yesterday at the age of 82 with his

beautiful and devoted bride by his side

Dolly described their incredible Love

Story Carl and I spent many wonderful

years together words can’t do justice to

the love we shared for over 60

 

years she may have been one of the

biggest stars on the planet but he never

attended one public Hollywood glitzy

event with Dolly well one and then he

swore never to go again he said look now

I want you to do everything you want to

do and I wish you the best but don’t

ever ask me to go to another one of

these damn things was only good one the

few images we have of Carl are all

Throwbacks of the good old days but in

2019 this rare picture was snapped of

Carl leaving a Tennessee business he

still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57

years

and I’m not going to try to talk him out

of that and 3 years ago on Carl’s 79th

birthday the former Playboy cover star

surprised him with his own real life

Playboy Bunny they met the first day she

arrived in Nashville Dolly talked about

it on GMA so the very day I go down to

the laundry mat this goodlooking man

just drives

by while dolly was rising to

superstardom Carl was running his own

asphalt paving business he doesn’t want

to be in show business but he’s glad

when I’m gone he’s glad when I’m home so

works out well for both of us what do

you guys do to keep the fire going we’re

really good friends and we have

different things to talk about yet we

have our things we do together the

private couple would often take their

romance on the road we have a our little

RV we go out every single weekend we

travel all over especially all over

Tennessee and all these back roads we

have picnics we have a little place out

the lake we spend a lot of time there

and of course one of her biggest alltime

hits Jolene was inspired by a local

Nashville bank teller who had her eyes

on dol’s

 

guy an all-time classic I mean covered

by every artist out there we’re here

with Alicia Davis now she spent a lot of

time with country music’s Queen would

you say Alicia that uh Carl held on to

dol’s Heart by not trying too hard

definitely and by looking at her in the

face when he talked to her she said that

was rare boy Dolly just announced this

with nothing but gratitude imagine that

that’s Dolly you know she has such a

strong faith and she always looks at the

bright side and you know she had come

off the road a little bit she hasn’t

been touring she’s been present she’s

been busy but I think she was spending

time at home with Carl he was her

biggest cheerleader he Let Her Shine and

one of the great things about the

relationship is that they allowed

themselves to be themselves
