Fans think he’s taking his content too far

MrBeast is nowhere near slowing down as he continues to push the boundaries of content creation – and why would he?

His massive viewership and ad revenue bring him a fortune, which he reinvests to make even crazier videos – but some fans believe his ideas are too over-the-top just for the sake of engagement.

On X, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson recently posted his latest projects about people living in obscure places in exchange for a life-changing cash prize.

The world’s most popular YouTuber wrote: “I have a pilot living in a $2,500,000 private jet and if he doesn’t leave for 100 days he keeps it, a cop/criminal in a jail and if they don’t leave for 100 days they win $500,000, and someone living in a gym until he loses 100 pounds for $500,000. Can’t wait to upload these”.

However, some people called MrBeast out on X for ‘exploiting’ people for entertainment purposes.

“Locking people in extreme challenges for views feels more like exploitation than entertainment, no matter the payout,” one person replied.

“Sounds like prison not entertainment. Mr. Beast you promote Evil and greed,” another compared.

“You are filming Hunger Games irl. This is a bit insane,” someone else argued.

Other fans defended the philanthropist’s ideas and saw the positives of being paid to change your life for the better: “gettin paid to better your life is insane,” someone wrote adding: “bro gets to have a dream body and money? count me in”.

Another comment read: “The gym one is the most exciting. He improves his health and gets life changing money to build a new one!”

Similar backlash surfaced on the back of producing Beast Games, MrBeast’s very own show which almost instantly became Amazon’s most-watched reality TV show.

Some contestants of the show filed a class-action lawsuit against the internet personality, mentioning ‘chronic mistreatment’ and sexual harassment claims.

Not to mention, there was recent outrage over the winner of Beast Games receiving a significantly reduced portion of the promised $1,000,000 grand prize due to taxes.

Nevertheless, with MrBeast is already calling on contestants for Season 2.

Elsewhere, the owner of Feastables and Lunchly seems to have it all to his viewers, but he’s also admitted that, despite the seemingly glamourous lifestyle, his life would be ‘miserable’ to the average person.

In 2024, Donaldson topped Forbes’ creator rankings with earnings of $85,000,000, but in an interview with Steven Bartlett on The Diary of a CEO, he’s explained how he is always either working or travelling for work, which can sometimes push him to the brink.

On some forums like Reddit, people are wondering how long he can keep it up before burning out.

But for now, his content is only getting bigger and more crazy.

MrBeast responds after iShowSpeed ‘leaks’ his phone number live on stream

He’s at it again

IShowSpeed has always been known for taking antics to another level. Now, however, he’s allegedly kicked it up a notch further after allegedly leaking MrBeast’s phone number live on stream – all in the name of payback.

The YouTube star, with a reputation for chaotic energy and unpredictable content, was one of the standout players at the Sidemen Charity Football Match on March 8.

The event, which has become an almost-annual spectacle since its founding in 2016, saw some of the biggest internet personalities come together to raise a staggering £4,733,004 GBP ($6,115,072 USD) for charity, with over 2.5 million fans tuning in live.

Speed — Darren Jason Watkins — playing for the YouTube All Stars team, even scored the final penalty score, to help his team get the win.

However, despite the well-earned cause for celebration, it seems not everyone walked away from the match unscathed. Speed claims that MrBeast, one of his fellow competitors, was responsible for an injury he sustained during the game.

During a recent stream, Speed shared his wounds with his viewers, pointing out his visible bruises while calling out the person he holds responsible — James ‘Mr Beast’ Donaldson.

Speedy Updates

no way speed just leaked MrBeast number on stream 😭😭

Watkins said: “Messed up my eye, the person who messed up my shoulder”, showing off his injuries in the above post on X (formerly Twitter). Then, in what appeared to be an act of revenge, Speed took things a step further by revealing what he claimed to be MrBeast’s personal phone number.

He announced: “MrBeast, I’m sorry buddy. This is MrBeast’s phone number,” he announced, flashing the contact details to thousands of live viewers.

Clearly not content with just exposing the number, Speed then encouraged his audience to take action.

He joked: “Ask him for money. This is MrBeast’s phone number right here”. He reiterated: “Everybody text MrBeast.”

As expected, the clip of Speed’s phone number drop quickly made the rounds on social media, eventually catching the attention of MrBeast himself. The popular YouTuber responded in classic internet fashion, posting a blunt and all-caps tweet that simply read: “SPEED WHAT THE F**K.”

Many social media users, never missing an opportunity for a meme, immediately jumped on the situation. Various commenters doubted that the number was even real.

One in particular pointed out in their post that MrBeast, wouldn’t possibly be using an Android device.

One user quipped: “Just signed you up for 20 different accounts with that phone number, have fun,” one user quipped.

Another chimed in: “gonna venmo request you $20 @MrBeast”.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Speed has ‘accidentally’ leaked the contact details of his famous friends.

In the past, he’s been responsible for exposing KSI’s number on multiple occasions, as well as revealing Kai Cenat’s in the midst of a prank war. Given his track record, it wouldn’t be entirely surprising if this latest ‘leak’ was, in fact, legitimate.
