Harvey keital was born on May 13 1939 in
Brooklyn New York
he grew up in a Jewish Family and was
raised in the Brighton Beach
neighborhood of Brooklyn
Harvey served in the United States
Marine Corps before beginning his acting
career in the 1960s
Harvey’s breakthrough role came in
Martin scorsese’s 1973 film mean streets
in which he played the role of Charlie
Kappa
he went on to collaborate with scorses
on several more films including taxi
driver
Raging Bull and The Last Temptation Of
Christ
Harvey’s tough guy persona and intense
acting style made him a sought-after
actor in Hollywood and he went on to
star in many other critically acclaimed
films including Reservoir Dogs Pulp
Fiction and the piano but Harvey’s
acting career was not without its
challenges
he struggled with drug addiction for
many years and has been open about his
struggles with heroin and cocaine
he eventually sought treatment and was
able to overcome his addiction but it
was a difficult Journey
in addition to his acting career Harvey
has also been a strong advocate for
social justice and human rights
he is a supporter of Amnesty
International and has been involved in
many campaigns to raise awareness about
issues such as torture police brutality
and the rights of refugees Harvey is
also an accomplished producer and
director
he produced the award-winning film the
piano and has directed several films
including The Bridge of San Luis re and
Lulu on the bridge
throughout his career Harvey has
received numerous accolades for his work
in the entertainment industry
it has been nominated for an Academy
Award four times and has won several
other Awards including the canis Film
Festival best actor award and the Screen
Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award
Harvey kadle’s intense acting style and
