BREAKING: Taylor Swift FINALLY Admits What We All Suspected About Blake Lively
Taylor Swift’s private text messages have just become public court documents, and what she said about Justin Baldoni is now part of federal records that anyone can read.
On January 20th and 21st, 2026, a judge unsealed thousands of pages from the Blake Lively lawsuit, revealing explosive content.
Buried inside those documents are texts where Taylor calls Baldoni a “beach,” gives Blake strategic advice on how to handle him, and celebrates when his career starts falling apart.
These aren’t leaked messages or rumors; these are official court exhibits with screenshots, timestamps, and everything Blake and Taylor said to each other while this whole situation was unfolding behind the scenes.
The texts show exactly how Taylor really felt about what was happening to her best friend.
And the language she used in private is nothing like what you’d expect from someone who stays out of drama.
We’re breaking down every single text Taylor sent, what Blake called Baldoni when she thought no one would ever see it, how Ryan Reynolds got involved, and why these messages might be the most damaging evidence in a case that’s headed to trial in just a few months.
If you thought you knew this story, you don’t.
Because what these texts reveal changes everything.
The Taylor Swift texts are what everyone really wants to know about.
And these messages were unsealed as part of court documents that paint a fascinating picture of how Blake navigated this situation with help from her famous best friend.
The earliest text we have dates back to April 2023.
Right during filming, Blake asked Taylor to help influence Baldoni by telling him she was excited for the movie and freaking out over script pages Blake had sent her.
Blake even asked Taylor to use whatever descriptives she was comfortable with.

Blake was asking Taylor to put on a performance for Baldoni to smooth things over on set.
By April 2024, the two friends were discussing the film’s trailer, which featured Taylor’s song, “My Tears Ricochet,” that Blake had secured through their personal friendship.
Taylor made a sharp observation when she said, “If Justin was strategic, he would be like, ‘No, Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film. That’s your ally, not his.’”
Blake’s response cut right to it: “You are so right and so wickedly smart to call it. He should have run from your music. I never thought about that, but holy, how stupid.”
This was his only shot at having the appearance of an upper hand.
Taylor also commented on the trailer, “Wow, I love how they use the song, ‘Welcome to Hollywood, Justin.’”
On December 4th, 2024, Taylor gently pushed back on Blake’s communication style during this stressful period.
Her words were, “I’ve been through things like this before, and I know how all-consuming it is. Your last few texts felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees. You said the word ‘we’ like 18 times. You don’t need to apologize. Just come back, please. I just kind of miss my funny, dark, normal speaking friend who talks to me as herself.”
Taylor was essentially saying she missed the real Blake.
The next day, on December 5th, 2024, Taylor texted Blake about a People magazine article featuring Baldoni, and her exact words were, “I think this beach knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”
Taylor Swift called Justin Baldoni a “beach” in a text message that is now part of federal court records.
December 21st, 2024, came after Blake’s allegations became public and WME dropped Baldoni as a client.
Taylor texted Blake saying, “You won. You did it.”
She continued, “Never has a cancellation been reversed so fast. You guys don’t understand how rare this is. To have proof and to take perfect steps to bring that truth into the light.”
Then she added, “You helped so many people who won’t have to go through this ever again.”

Blake responded, “I love you so much. I would not be okay through any of this if it weren’t for you.”
Uh, the Taylor texts aren’t the only revealing communications; Blake’s own words about Justin Baldoni are striking.
A text to Taylor from April 2023 had Blake referring to Baldoni as “this doofus director of my movie.”
She wrote, “If you get here one, this doofus director of my movie is still here. I’ll be ushering him out, but hope he’s still here. Can you do me a huge favor? I need help with him.”
After Taylor met with Baldoni, Blake texted her, “You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering stuff. You making stuff up about me and lenses and referring to yourself as my doll. This clown falling for all of it.”
Blake called him a doofus and a clown in these texts.
The language gets even more colorful in an email Blake sent to Ben Affleck on May 17th, 2024.
And this email is wild.
She wrote, “I’ve just come out the other side of one of the most upsetting experiences I’ve ever had on a movie.”
The email continued, “I ended up rewriting and restructuring the entire script. I also ended up having to direct the movie via the chaotic clown, director, actor, producer, financier, studio head at the center.”
Yes, that’s all the same person.
Oh, and did I mention he and everyone he had on the movie is in a cult?
In an email to Matt Damon, she said, “This movie nearly killed me. The director cost our producer, financier, head of the studio—yes, all one person—had zero experience. But the good news is he also has no taste and an enormous ego, but only because he’s in a cult and believes he’s our century’s prophet.”
Blake described Baldoni as a chaotic clown with no taste and an enormous ego who thinks he’s our century’s prophet.
Matt Damon’s response showed support as he said, “We’ll give you any help we can. And if this experience hasn’t totally destroyed your soul, Blake, you should come direct your next movie at Artist Equity. We’re kind of like a cult, but a really nice one.”

Ryan Reynolds has some spicy communications in these court documents, too.
An email to his agent, Warren Zavala, in August 2024 had Ryan writing about Baldoni’s team: “Baldoni and these other buckets of dum dum juice should be acknowledging the speculation and gossip themselves. They should be jumping in front of it in the most full-throated unqualified way.”
Now he continued, “Blake, under no circumstances, should be asked to clean up this sloppy cliched storm, and then added Blake should be celebrating. She made this unbelievable win happen.”
The court documents also revealed that Ryan wrote dialogue for at least one scene in the movie.
And Blake commissioned her own edit of the film from Shane Reed, who was the editor of Deadpool and Wolverine.
The question matters: why are we seeing all of this?
Baldoni’s lawyers included these documents in their filings with an argument that the texts demonstrate Blake strategically manipulating Baldoni’s public image by leveraging her celebrity connections.
Their position is that she coordinated with Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck, and Matt Damon to orchestrate a campaign against him.
Baldoni’s attorney, Jonathan Bach, called Blake’s allegations trivial and petty grievances at the January 22nd, 2026 hearing.
Blake’s legal team sees it differently, and her attorney, Sigret McCauley, stated that the celebrity texts aren’t relevant to the core harassment claims.
She said what’s relevant is her claims that she was sexually harassed in the workplace and the witnesses that were there to see that.
Two completely different narratives emerge here.
Baldoni’s side says the texts prove Blake ran a coordinated attack, while Blake’s side says the texts are a distraction from the actual harassment allegations.
A few other bombshells in these documents deserve attention.
Actress Jameela Jamil, who you might know from The Good Place, called Blake a “suicide bomber” in a text to Baldoni’s publicist, and that’s in the court documents.

Now, a quote attributed to Melissa Nathan, the crisis PR specialist Baldoni hired, appears in Blake’s complaint where she allegedly said, “You know, we can bury anyone.”
Taylor Swift’s official involvement in this case got addressed when Baldoni’s team tried to subpoena her in May 2025.
Her spokesperson issued a statement saying, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie. She was not involved in any casting or creative decisions. She did not score the film. She never saw an edit or made any notes on the film. She did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024, headlining the biggest tour in history.”
Taylor’s team is making it clear she was a supportive friend who texted Blake, but she had nothing to do with the actual movie or the legal claims.
The financial stakes in this case are enormous, and the numbers tell that story.
Blake Lively is seeking $161 million in itemized damages and up to $500 million total when you include punitive damages.
Her damages break down according to her July 2025 disclosure: $56.2 million in lost earnings from acting, producing, and endorsements; $49 million in losses to her Blake Brown beauty brand; $22 million in losses to her Betty B Holdings beverage company; $34 million in reputational harm; plus punitive damages of at least three times the actual damages.
Baldoni filed a $400 million counter-suit against Blake, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake’s publicist Leslie Sloan back in January 2025, but that counter-suit was dismissed by Judge Lyman in June 2025.
A $250 million lawsuit Baldoni also filed against the New York Times, which had published an article titled, “We Can Bury Anyone: Inside a Hollywood Smear Machine,” that was favorable to Blake’s narrative, was also dismissed in June 2025.
Blake’s lawsuit is the only one moving forward to trial right now.
Public perception of Blake Lively has shifted dramatically, and this case has caused some serious changes in how people view her.
Blake has lost 864,085 Instagram followers since September 2024, with 329,057 of those losses coming in January 2025 alone.
Justin Baldoni gained 230,896 followers in that same period since September 2024, with 159,644 of those gains coming in January 2025.
That’s when it gets interesting because a Guardian investigation citing social media analyst Johan Chen, who also investigated the Depp versus Heard case, found that hashtags like #BlakeLivelyIsALiar were posted at a ratio of 1:150 up to 1:300 compared to pro-Lively content.
Chen estimates that more than 80% of pro-Baldoni posts are inorganic, meaning bot-driven, which suggests a lot of the negative social media activity against Blake may not be coming from real people.

The public perception has shifted in phases.
August 2024 brought initial backlash against Blake for what people called a tone-deaf press tour as she faced criticism for promoting her hair care line and alcohol brand Betty Buzz while promoting a film about domestic violence.
Viral TikTok compilations portrayed her as a mean girl.
December 2024 brought a brief reversal when the harassment allegations emerged, and Blake actually gained 46,624 followers between December 21st and January 3rd after the New York Times article was published, with many people initially siding with her.
Since Baldoni filed his counter and launched a detailed rebuttal website, public opinion has become more divided.
Conservative media figures, including Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Joe Rogan, have repeatedly defended Baldoni.
Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, also represents Megyn Kelly.
Judge Lewis Lyman made several notable statements at the January 22nd, 2026 hearing when addressing whether all of Blake’s claims deserve to go to a jury.
He said, “A whole bunch of little things can add up to a big thing.”
And he also stated, “Acting in the project does not mean you subject yourself to sexual harassment.”
The judge acknowledged he was still having trouble determining consent boundaries on movie sets, and he did not issue an immediate ruling on Baldoni’s motion for summary judgment, which means he’s still considering whether to dismiss any of Blake’s remaining claims before trial.
Blake’s attorney, Ezra Hudson, described some of the alleged harassment at the hearing, saying Baldoni leaned in and kissed Lively, putting his face on her face, and kissed, nuzzled, and touched her without consent.
The attorneys representing each side are serious legal heavy hitters.
Blake Lively’s attorneys include Michael Gottlieb from Wilkie Farr and Gallagher as lead counsel, Ezra Hudson from Manatt Phelps and Phillips, and Sigret McCauley from Boies Schiller Flexner, who is particularly notable because she has represented victims of Jeffrey Epstein.
Justin Baldoni’s attorneys include Brian Friedman from Lerner Friedman Tatelman and Culley as lead counsel, Jonathan Bach, who argued the January 22nd hearing, and Alexander Shapiro, who was recently added to the team.
Baldoni’s attorney, Brian Friedman, told TMZ on January 22nd, 2026, that he doesn’t rule out a settlement.
Blake’s attorney, Sigret McAulay, stated that Blake is not just in it for the money; she’s in it to make a statement as well as an impact on young women who are being harassed at work.
Macaulay also confirmed that Blake Lively herself will be the key witness at trial and that neither Taylor Swift nor Ryan Reynolds is expected to testify.
According to Blake’s legal team, the legal events unfolded quickly once things went public.
On December 20th, 2024, Blake filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department.
On December 21st, 2024, the New York Times published their article, and WME dropped Baldoni as a client the same day.
On December 24th, 2024, Stephanie Jones from Jones Works, who was Baldoni’s former publicist, sued him for defamation.
On December 31st, 2024, Blake filed her federal lawsuit seeking up to $500 million.
And Baldoni sued the New York Times for $250 million on the same day.
On January 16th, 2025, Baldoni filed his $400 million counter-suit against Blake, Ryan, and Blake’s publicist.
On January 22nd, 2025, Baldoni’s request for a gag order was denied.
On January 30th, 2025, the cases were consolidated by Judge Lyman.
On June 3rd, 2025, Blake’s emotional distress claims were dismissed due to an issue with medical records.
On June 9th, 2025, Baldoni’s $400 million counter-suit was dismissed by Judge Lyman.
On October 31st, 2025, final judgment was entered after Baldoni declined to refile.

On January 20th and 21st, 2026, thousands of pages of documents were unsealed, including the Taylor Swift texts.
On January 22nd, 2026, a summary judgment hearing took place, and Judge Lyman did not immediately rule.
On May 18th, 2026, trial is scheduled.
One other lawsuit deserves mention here.
Jed Wallace, who Blake’s complaint alleges operated a digital army against her through his company, Street Relations, Inc., has filed a $7 million defamation suit against Blake in Texas federal court, and that case is still active.
Blake had originally included claims against Wallace in her New York lawsuit, but those were dismissed in November 2025 due to jurisdiction issues.
Public support has broken down along clear lines.
SAG-AFTRA, Sony Pictures, author Colleen Hoover, and several cast members issued statements supporting Blake when the allegations first came out.
Blake’s email communications show she received support from Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and Taylor Swift has been her constant supporter throughout this entire ordeal.
Other celebrities mentioned as potential witnesses in the case include Gigi Hadid, Emily Blunt, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, the Haim Sisters, Jenny Slate, and Hugh Jackman, who attended the premiere.
Conservative media figures and commentators have supported Baldoni, and his legal team has argued that many of Blake’s claims are simply creative disagreements being reframed as harassment.
Several key facts face complete disagreement between the two sides.
Consent during intimate scenes is disputed, with Blake claiming there was unwanted contact while Baldoni’s team argues she agreed to hot and sexy scenes.
The PR campaign is disputed, with Blake claiming there was a coordinated smear campaign against her while Baldoni claims it was standard crisis management.
Creative control is disputed, as Baldoni’s now-dismissed counter-suit claimed Blake hijacked the film through demands and threats, while Blake claims she had to compensate for his inexperience and essentially direct the movie herself.

Bot activity is disputed, with analysis suggesting there were pro-Baldoni bots amplifying negative content about Blake, but both sides have accused each other of social media manipulation.
Judge Lyman still needs to rule on the summary judgment motion that was argued on January 22nd.
If he grants it in whole or in part, some of Blake’s claims could be dismissed before trial.
But if he denies it, everything goes to the jury.
May 18th, 2026 is when the trial is scheduled.
And unlike the Depp versus Heard trial, this one is unlikely to be televised.
Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni is heading to trial on May 18th, with her seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages while her allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation remain active and legally protected.
Baldoni’s $400 million counter-suit was dismissed.
His $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times was dismissed, and his motion for summary judgment is pending.
Thousands of pages of documents, including private texts between Blake and Taylor Swift, are now public record.
And those texts show Blake calling Baldoni a doofus and a clown, Taylor calling him a beach, and Ryan Reynolds calling him and his team buckets of dum dum juice.
Public opinion is divided, as Blake has lost hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers while Baldoni has gained them.
But analysis suggests much of the negative social media activity against Blake may be bot-driven.
Both sides have very different narratives, with Blake saying she was harassed and then retaliated against when she spoke up, while Baldoni says her claims are trivial grievances and that she’s the one who orchestrated a campaign against him.
A jury will decide who’s telling the truth.
