Roush Racing promoted Biffle to a full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 1998.
Although he did not win a race that season, his four pole positions set a rookie record, earning him an eighth-place finish in the standings along with Rookie of the Year honors.
In 1999, Biffle’s potential fully blossomed.
He captured nine race wins, which was then a single-season series record, and narrowly finished second in the championship standings.
The following year, in 2000, he solidified his place among NASCAR’s elite by winning the Craftsman Truck Series Championship, his first national title, defeating teammate Kurt Busch by a commanding margin.

Biffle carried that momentum into the NASCAR Bush Series.
Competing full-time in 2001, he earned Rookie of the Year honors once again, pairing five victories with a fourth-place points finish.
In 2002, he elevated his performance further, winning four races and securing the Bush Series Championship.
With that title, Biffle became the first driver to win championships in both the Truck Series and the Bush Series, underscoring his exceptional versatility.
In 2003, Biffle stepped into NASCAR’s premier division, the Cup Series, driving the number 16 Ford for Rous Racing.
He made an immediate impact, earning his first Cup victory in the Pepsi 400 at Daytona and finishing second in the Rookie of the Year standings.
Over the next 13 seasons with Roush, Biffle established himself as one of the series’ most reliable contenders.
His breakout year came in 2005 when he won six races, led the series in victories, and finished second in the championship standings, just 35 points shy of the title.
Throughout his Cup career, Biffle collected 19 victories, including multiple wins at Michigan International Speedway, where he was particularly dominant.
He qualified for the Chase for the Cup several times and was widely respected for his smooth driving style, technical feedback, and adaptability to changing rules and car designs.
Although he never captured a Cup Series championship, his consistency and longevity at the sport’s highest level cemented his legacy as one of the era’s top competitors.
After parting ways with Roush Fenway Racing at the end of the 2016 season, Biffle stepped away from full-time Cup competition.

However, retirement did not signify the end of his racing career.
He made memorable returns to the Truck Series, including a stunning victory at Texas Motor Speedway in 2019 with Kyle Busch Motorsports, marking his first Truck Series win in nearly two decades.
He also competed in Stadium Super Trucks, the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX), and select Cup races, proving that his competitive fire remained undiminished.
Beyond NASCAR, Biffle explored diverse racing ventures, including endurance racing at the 24 Hours of Daytona and founding the Sand Outlaw series for UTV drag racing.
These endeavors reflected his deep passion for motorsports and his entrepreneurial spirit within the racing world.
Off the track, Biffle led a life shaped by family, business interests, and personal passions.
He was married twice and was the father of two children.
He enjoyed deep-sea fishing, owned a pub in his hometown, and held ownership stakes in regional racetracks in Oregon.
A licensed pilot, Biffle owned multiple aircraft and helicopters and was known for using his aviation skills to assist in disaster relief efforts, including helping communities affected by hurricanes.
Financially, Greg Biffle achieved substantial success.
