🔫 This Might Be the REAL REASON Nipsey Hussle Was K!lled 😱 “He Got Bigger Than the Set…”
Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, wasn’t just another rapper from South Central—he was a revolutionary in the making.
He built businesses, bought real estate, empowered the streets, and became the face of the Rolling 60s Crips.
But with that influence came danger, and according to many close to the situation, he got too big for the set—and that made him a threat.
From the outside, Nip’s murder looked simple: an argument with Eric Holder, a known associate, turned deadly.
But insiders—and even his own brother—paint a much darker, more calculated picture.
Black Sam, Nip’s brother and business partner, later said publicly that the murder was not random.
He described how Holder first came shirtless to the parking lot, scoped out the scene, saw Nipsey wearing shorts, and then returned minutes later wearing a red shirt—a color that no one in their hood would dare
wear.
Sam believes the red shirt was intentional—designed to throw off suspicion and make it look like a rival Blood gang had pulled the hit.
What happened next is now hip-hop history.
Holder walked up the alley and fired nearly a dozen shots, killing Nipsey on the spot in front of his Marathon Clothing store.
But the questions haven’t stopped since that day—and one name keeps getting whispered behind closed doors: Big U.
Eugene “Big U” Henley is no stranger to controversy.
A former gang leader turned music executive, podcaster, and self-described activist, Big U was long seen as a powerful force in the L.A. underworld.
He once helped mentor Nipsey.
He co-managed him, signed him to his label Unique Music, and even got him featured on a posthumous Tupac album back in 2006.
But after a drug-related bust involving Nip’s tour bus—and growing tension around money and control—Nipsey and Big U fell out.
According to Big U himself, their split wasn’t dramatic, but other insiders claim differently.
Some believe Big U was allegedly using Nipsey’s tour bus to traffic drugs or cash pickups, making Nip a high-risk target for the Feds and the streets.
After the tour bus was searched, tensions rose.
Nipsey wanted out.
He didn’t want to be part of something that could derail his rise—and he definitely didn’t want to be used as cover.
That’s when things turned ugly.
Nipsey dropped a diss track, You Don’t Got a Clue, where he rapped “F the middleman”—a not-so-subtle shot aimed at Big U.
After that track surfaced, reports say Big U confronted Nip and even challenged him to a street fight.
Nipsey didn’t back down.
The two reportedly squared up in the middle of the street.
Nipsey dodged every punch, and after it was over, Big U allegedly called for retaliation—according to eyewitnesses and multiple street sources.
Despite a brief public reconciliation, those close to the situation claim the bad blood never truly went away.
And it got worse when Nipsey shot the Higher music video with DJ Khaled—without checking in.
That video shoot happened just three days before Nipsey was killed, and sources say Big U was furious.
Reports claim he sent people to disrupt the shoot.
If you watch the final music video closely, you’ll see that parts were abruptly moved to a parking lot—allegedly because armed security had to be brought in due to a threat on Nipsey’s life.
Even more chilling: on the morning of his death, Nipsey tweeted:
“Having strong enemies is a blessing.”
Was that tweet a cryptic warning? A message to someone? Because just hours later, he was gone.
One former informant known as Loose Cannon claimed on a podcast that Big U called him 30 minutes before Nip’s death—almost as if he knew something was about to go down.
Loose also said Big U tried to send him a cease and desist letter through an attorney after that interview aired.
Why the sudden legal panic? If it was all lies, wouldn’t you just ignore it?
Former Death Row artist SKG also claimed that Big U had a hand in Nipsey’s death.
She said she was told by multiple people—including rapper Mo Slaughter—that a hit had been called on Nipsey.
And although there’s no concrete proof linking Big U to the murder, the smoke is everywhere—and where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire.
Another red flag? Big U gave conflicting stories about where he was when Nip was killed.
In one interview, he said he was just minutes away and rushed to the scene.
But on Instagram Live, he later claimed:
“Y’all accusing me of [stuff] I ain’t even do.
What’s funny is—I wasn’t even in town.”
So which is it? Were you close enough to “shoot out” to the crime scene… or were you out of town completely?
To add fuel to the conspiracy, Big U didn’t attend Nipsey’s funeral—a glaring absence considering their history.
And when someone commented “Justice for Nip” on his Instagram Live, he laughed it off.
Even more damning, others from within the Rolling 60s have alleged that Nipsey got “too big” for the set.
They claimed he was more powerful than anyone else and had essentially outgrown the gang.
“Nobody’s bigger than the program,” they reportedly told sources.
And when someone threatens the program’s power? They get clipped.
Some OGs in the neighborhood were also allegedly bitter after Black Sam—Nip’s brother—took full control of the Marathon brand, the music, and the real estate empire Nip built.
They didn’t like how Sam kept things tight and cut out the “old politics.”
Nipsey wasn’t just a rapper—he was changing the blueprint.
He made gang members think about ownership.
Legacy.
Equity.
And in the process, he may have become a threat to the very people who first helped him rise.
Now in 2025, rumors swirl that the feds are reopening Nipsey’s case, especially as Big U now faces a RICO charge.
If true, and if investigators dig deep enough, we may finally find out if this was more than street beef… if this was an organized hit with layers of betrayal, money, and power plays.
Until then, all we have are the whispers—and a community still demanding answers.
Rest in power, Nip.
The marathon continues.
