Could we really see John Wick back on screen for a fifth time? Keanu Reeves just dropped a bombshell that has fans both excited and worried! During a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, the 60-year-old action star admitted that while his heart is screaming for John Wick 5, his knees might have a different opinion.

“You can never say never — but my knees right now are saying, ‘You can’t do another John Wick,’” Reeves revealed, hinting that the high-intensity action sequences might be taking a toll on him.

But does this mean the franchise is truly over? Not so fast! Fans will still get to see him in a cameo for the upcoming spin-off film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, hitting theaters on June 6.

Reeves’ role as the legendary assassin has become iconic, making John Wick a $1 billion franchise since its debut in 2014.

But the burning question remains: Could the series survive without him?

According to John Wick co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, the answer is a clear NO.

“Could you have done John Wick without Keanu? No, not the way you see it,” Stahelski firmly stated in an interview celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first film.

“His discipline, presence, and sheer passion make John Wick what it is.”

Leitch took it even further, saying, “There’s no one else who could bring the heart, the intensity, and the raw emotional depth that Keanu does.”

Reeves is famous for his insane commitment to stunt work, but it has come at a price.

Over the years, he’s endured countless injuries while filming the action-packed franchise.

At a recent 10th-anniversary screening, Reeves admitted, “Sometimes you train so hard you throw up, but that’s part of what makes it real.”

So, after four grueling movies, has his body finally had enough?

Even if John Wick 5 remains uncertain, Reeves isn’t stepping away from Hollywood anytime soon.

He’s taking on the role of Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and this time, he won’t have to throw any punches—just use his voice!

“Which is why you can voice Shadow for, like, decades to come—there are no physical limitations, just your voice!” joked director Jeff Fowler, to which Reeves replied with relief, “I’m free!”

Reeves may be unsure about his physical limits, but he hasn’t closed the door completely.

“My heart wants to do it,” he admitted.
