🧟♂️ Bleach Fans Agree: Bringing Starrk Back Makes WAY More Sense Than That Byakuya Resurrection 🤯
In case you forgot, Byakuya died.
No, seriously—he died on-screen.
His Bankai was crushed, his body torn apart, and he quite literally passed out in front of Ichigo, whispering his last words with blood gushing from his mouth.
It was raw, emotional, and powerful.
And then… boom.
The next arc? He’s totally fine.
“He pulled through,” they said.
No detailed explanation.
No spiritual miracle.
Just a neat little retcon that felt more like a marketing move than storytelling.
Now compare that mess to Coyote Starrk’s death.
This guy, Espada No.
1, didn’t fall because of arrogance, hubris, or some idiotic tactical blunder.
He fell because he let himself.
Starrk wasn’t a bloodthirsty monster—he was a lonely soul who split his very essence in half just to not feel alone.
His battle with Shunsui was graceful, melancholic, and downright poetic.
He didn’t scream or beg.
He accepted death with a sigh.
And for what? So the story could move on to less interesting villains?
Here’s the kicker: Starrk’s death wasn’t final in the way we expect from the Bleach universe.
We’ve seen characters obliterated into ash, erased from existence, and still claw their way back.
Grimmjow got eviscerated and survived.
Szayelaporro exploded and may or may not be alive in the novels.
Hell, we’ve seen Ichigo die more times than we can count, and he just keeps bouncing back like it’s Tuesday.
So why not Starrk?
More importantly, bringing Starrk back wouldn’t even require mental gymnastics.
He was never killed in a flashy, conclusive explosion.
His body wasn’t disintegrated.
There’s no reason why the remnants of his soul couldn’t linger—waiting to be restored by a new villain faction, or even reformed naturally in Hueco Mundo.
If Kubo wanted to drop a panel showing Starrk’s silhouette emerging from the shadows in the next Hell Arc chapter, nobody would question it.
In fact, fans would LOSE THEIR MINDS.
Meanwhile, Byakuya’s “resurrection” felt like blatant plot armor.
Let’s not pretend it didn’t happen because of fan backlash and character popularity polls.
That man was dead—dead dead.
But no, the fandom cried, and the studio couldn’t bear to lose that royalty aesthetic.
So instead of letting his death matter, Kubo walked it back.
Starrk? No such protection.
The quietest Espada got the quietest sendoff—and nobody fought to bring him back.
But maybe now’s the time.
With the Hell Arc teasing long-forgotten souls and mysterious spiritual energy returns, Starrk would be the perfect candidate for revival.
Not only would his calm demeanor add balance to the chaos, but imagine the potential of his character arc: someone who once represented overwhelming power fused with crushing
loneliness, now navigating a postwar spiritual world where death isn’t the end—it’s a second chance.
Plus, there’s poetic symmetry in bringing back the most reluctant killer in the Espada lineup.
Starrk never wanted to fight.
He didn’t care about glory or bloodshed.
He was dragged into battle by duty and survival instinct.
Imagine reintroducing him now—wiser, weary, and maybe even resentful of being pulled back into the fray.
It’s gold.
Absolute gold.
Let’s also not ignore that Bleach’s entire cosmology is built around soul cycles and rebirth.
Souls go to the Soul Society.
Hollows are purified.
Spirits linger and move on—or don’t.
There’s so much room for narrative loopholes that it would take less than a chapter to explain Starrk’s return.
All it takes is a writer’s choice, and the fandom would eat it up like candy.
And let’s be brutally honest—Starrk’s story was unfinished.
We barely scratched the surface of his past.
How did he survive alone for so long? Who was he before he split off Lilynette? What did he see in Aizen’s twisted vision of unity? There’s more meat on that bone than half the
captains got in the final arc.
Meanwhile, Byakuya is still walking around with full privileges, as if his death scene didn’t emotionally gut half the audience.
That comeback was a cheat code—and Starrk fans are still waiting for their justice.
So yes.
Kubo absolutely can bring Starrk back.
And the wild part? It would make more sense than Byakuya’s comeback ever did.
Starrk didn’t deserve the silence.
He deserves a resurrection—with all the pain, mystery, and raw elegance he brought to the screen.
The man died with dignity.
It’s time to give him life with purpose.
