From The Tourist to secret meetups, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie might just be scripting Hollywood’s slowest-burning love story ever.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie are two names that come up together a lot, but nothing ever happens.

However, if a recent report is to be believed, the two might be cooking up something special.

According to Star Magazine, the two actors have been spending some quality time together lately.

As per their source, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have been meeting up in places like London and Los Angeles without anyone knowing.

Apparently, it is important for them to keep their meet-ups under wraps.

The source stated, “They’ve gotten together in London and L.A.

without anyone catching on.

They go to great lengths to stay under the radar.”

Depp and Jolie’s bond dates all the way back to 2010, when the two starred in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s romantic thriller, The Tourist.

At that time, though, romance was out of the question since the two were still coupled up with their former partners, Vanessa Paradis and Brad Pitt.

If the source is right, Depp has “carried a torch” for Jolie in his heart for a long, long time.

Many people apparently believe that the reason he got together with Amber Heard was because she resembled Jolie in a way.

The report states, “A lot of people are convinced Angie’s the reason Johnny fell so hard for Amber Heard.”.

Depp and Heard’s romance lasted from 2013 to 2016, and has been one of the most controversial celebrity relationships in Hollywood history.

Coming back to Depp and Jolie, the sources added that their romance seems to be “stuck in first gear,” with the actress wanting to keep an “emotional distance“.

On the other hand, “she’s not exactly discouraging him.”.

However, if things were up to Depp, as per the source, “this would be a lot more serious.”.

Even before the two worked together on The Tourist, Jolie had a soft spot for Depp, especially after he starred as the titular character in Tim Burton’s Edward Scissorhands (1990).

Apparently, she was “smitten” by the man, right from the get-go.

In Andrew Morton’s book, Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography, the author writes, “Angie was smitten with actor Johnny Depp, who played Edward, an isolated figure with scissors for hands.

The movie’s themes of alienation and self-discovery spoke to the angst-ridden Angie.”

She even told The Japan Times that she had always wanted to work with Depp, someone she has had a crush on.

In her words,

Of course, I always wanted to work with Johnny Depp.

What actress hasn’t? I’ve thought he was the coolest thing for years.

I practically grew up with him and had such a crush on him in Edward Scissorhands.

As for Depp, she once described Jolie as a “walking poem” to Vanity Fair, and added, “She’s this perfect beauty but at the same time very deep, very smart, very quick, very clever, very funny, and also has a very perverse sense of humour.”

The Tourist was the only time Jolie and Depp appeared on screen together.
