“It’s a bad procedure”: Did Jennifer Aniston Make a Mistake With Her Alleged Plastic Surgery?

Did Jennifer Aniston’s reported facelift ultimately end up doing more harm to her face than good? Columnist Maureen Callahan sure thinks so!

Jennifer Aniston has always looked incredible, whether she is on screen or walking down a red carpet. However, there have been conversations about the actress turning to plastic surgery to give her a more youthful look.

Unfortunately, it looks like things didn’t go quite according to plan for Aniston recently, as per a report by The Nerve‘s Maureen Callahan. As per Callahan, Aniston got a bilateral facelift, where experts pull back the skin on the lower part of the face to give clients a youthful look. It also eliminates the smile lines between the nose and mouth.

Callahan stated that one of her doctor friends “recently worked with somebody very close to Jennifer Aniston.” This “somebody” in question talked to Callahan’s doctor friend about Aniston’s cosmetic work, asking, “Uh do you think that it’s hopeless?”

She added,

Now this doctor told me did not treat her but can ID stuff a mile away that Jennifer recently had what is called a bilateral lower facelift.

Apparently, this is something that Kyle Richards from ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ had done as well. So far, Aniston has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.

Where Did the Alleged Plastic Surgery Go Wrong?

Talking about the procedure that Aniston has supposedly gotten done, Callahan explained that experts go in with cameras under the cheekbones on both sides and then “they just lift here.”

As a result, it stretches the mouth out. Turns out, a bilateral lower facelift is not a reversible procedure. Coming to why Aniston, who is reportedly dating wellness coach Jim Curtis, supposedly getting the work done was a bad idea, Callahan said,

It’s a bad procedure to have done, no matter who you are, no matter what your bone structure is, because it’s not working with the rest of the face. It doesn’t take into account the musculature and the structure and the tissues of the entire face.

Callahan, who works as a columnist for The Daily Mail and writes opinion pieces for everything from pop culture to politics, concluded that those who end up getting the procedure done only do more harm to themselves instead of just letting their body age gracefully.

Jennifer Aniston Reportedly Had a Wakeup Call Earlier This Year

Aniston and the topic of plastic surgery have been going hand-in-hand for some time now. After facing a ton of backlash from trolls for her frozen features, the actress allegedly decided to turn things around earlier this year.

In January, sources told Radar Online that the ‘We’re the Millers star was now going on a “diet” where she would scale her facial procedures back. As per an insider, Aniston was “shocked by all the backlash she got because she really didn’t think that she’d over done it. But then everyone started talking about how obvious it was thaat she’d had work done.”

Then there was a time last year when photos of her puffy eyes went viral on social media, and her friends reportedly advised her to “ease up on the filler a bit.” This was all a bit too humiliating for Aniston, and that’s how she apparently got her wake-up call.

The insider stated,

It was humiliating because she’s always been so meticulous about what she gets done, and she’s been pretty vocal about avoiding surgery and relying more on laser treatments. To have the whole world making fun of her plastic surgery fail was a huge wake-up call.

Another source added that Aniston was able to get a lot of her fillers dissolved, which caused her to look a lot less puffy than before. Despite the backlash, the insider believes that she won’t completely “swear off this stuff” but will focus on maintaining herself and not trying to look younger than she is.
