“Having him on her arm would make a big statement”: Jennifer Lopez’s Admiration For Ben Affleck’s Friend Kevin Costner After Their Divorce

Jennifer Lopez may have finally moved on from Ben Affleck, and if the reports are true, Kevin Costner could be her next blockbuster romance!

Bennifer 2.0 came to an end recently, despite the two once tying the knot and being head over heels for each other.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were married in 2022 but just 2 years later, their love story was done and dusted.

Again. Their divorce was finalized this month and they are officially no longer linked to each other, free to move back into the dating scene as they please.

Needless to say, their separation comes with a ton of reports and speculations almost as if it is a package deal.

Now, a new report states that Jennifer Lopez is eyeing one of the most incredible actors the entertainment industry has to offer – the Yellowstone star, Kevin Costner.

Back in August 2024, a source told PEOPLE that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were “moving on separately” and that the actress was looking for a fresh start.

Later that month, the divorce was filed on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding.

On January 06, their divorce was finalized.

Needless to say, both Affleck and Lopez are currently in the market for a new beau and if reports are to be believed, the latter may already have someone in her mind.

As reported by Closer Online UK, Lopez was recently spotted with friends at a bar in Colorado, where she stood close to Kevin Costner.

A source told the outlet that while Affleck still occupies the Atlas actress’ mind, she and Costner are not a completely far-fetched idea.

They said, “J.Lo is still laser focused on Ben so Kevin certainly has his work cut out for him, but that doesn’t mean this is an impossible situation.”

 The source went on to praise how Costner has many of the qualities she’s looking for in a man and how a relationship between them would be groundbreaking.

Kevin has a lot of the qualities she’s looking for in her next man.

He’s incredibly successful and he’s someone that commands a huge amount of respect in the industry and among all their peers.

Having him on her arm would make a big statement – and it doesn’t hurt that Ben has always spoken very highly of Kevin.

The source added that Costner is good friends with Affleck and his ex, Jennifer Garner, and this is somehow a plus point for Lopez who apparently “loves the idea of dating someone they can’t help but approve of.”

The two-time Academy Award-winning actor is no less than a catch.

The man clearly came into the industry to conquer and he has done exactly that with his many roles.

Thus, a relationship with him after Affleck might just be what Lopez needs.

According to the source who confided in Closer Online UK, dating the Hollywood icon would be great for Lopez’s image and would bring a lot of attention to her.

They said,

Of course dating Kevin would come with a lot of attention for her. He’s something of a Hollywood icon so linking up with him would be great for her image.

The source even went so far as to imagine the potential dates the two would go on, calling Costner a “gentleman” who “loves to flash the cash.”

 Meaning, that their dates would probably include “private jets and the best of everything.” All of this reportedly “appeals” to Lopez.

As for their age difference, Lopez is currently 55 years old whereas Costner will be turning 70 on the eighteenth of January.

The two have a 15-year age gap between themselves.

Now, the question is, will the report actually transpire into something real or will it also be buried amongst the many speculations that come and go regarding the diva? Only time will tell!
