Angelina Jolie and Jane Etta Pitt, Brad Pitt‘s late mother, weren’t reportedly having a cordial relationship before their death.

After her son’s divorce from Jolie, Jane was reportedly estranged from the former couple’s six children.

A resurfaced photo obtained by Globe showed that the family was tight before things went bad between Jolie and Pitt (posted via Daily Mail).

The photo showed a pic of the Pitt family, where Jane was seen together with Jolie and her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne.

The big happy family didn’t last when Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt after an alleged incident of abuse on an airplane.

Jolie and Pitt’s children went with their mother after the divorce, and currently remain estranged from their father.

However, the divorce also brought about the “heartbreaking” separation between the grandparents and the kids.

An insider told the Daily Mail that Jane was a part of the children’s lives before the divorce.
