Ree Drummond is officially in her grandma era, and her youngest family member is already making headlines—literally. The Pioneer Woman star recently shared a heartwarming moment on Instagram as her 4-month-old granddaughter Sophia spotted herself in the Pioneer Woman magazine for the very first time.
In the sweet video posted on April 13th, Sophia’s mom, Alex Drummond Scott, holds up the magazine and shows her baby the feature titled Pretty in Pink, which gives fans a glimpse into Sophia’s adorable nursery. “It’s you in a magazine,” Alex says lovingly to her daughter.
Meanwhile, their golden retriever, George, appears in the background with a seemingly unimpressed look. A playful caption across the screen reads, “Georgie says, ‘Where’s my spread?’”

Sophia, born December 18, 2024, is the first child of Alex and her husband, Mauricio Scott, and the first grandchild for Ree and Lad Drummond. The proud grandma hasn’t been shy about showing off her love for Sophia.
Just last week, Ree posted another video of the baby girl watching her on the Food Network. “Sophia watching old grandma on Food Network,” Ree wrote over the clip. “I don’t think Sophia liked my fig and prosciutto crostini this morning. I wonder if she thinks I’m there. I hope so,” she joked in the caption.
In March, Ree reflected on what it’s been like stepping into her new role as a grandmother. “When your firstborn has a baby that looks exactly like she looked, you get to relive all the delicious feelings of first-time motherhood, but without the sleep deprivation, hormones, and confusion,” she wrote.
Although she once believed she wasn’t quite ready to enter the grandma era, Ree admitted she’s fully embraced it. “I didn’t think I was ready yet to cross over to the granny side of the street, but Lord in heaven, I am loving it and I’m so grateful for this gift,” she said.
Ree and her husband Lad share five children: Alex, 27; Paige, 25; Bryce, 22; Jamar, 22; and Todd, 20. With Sophia already stealing the spotlight in magazines and social media, it looks like the next generation of Drummonds is off to a memorable start.
