My dear brothers and sisters, I speak to you not from above, but walking beside you on this journey of faith. Wherever you are—alone, tired, searching—know that God has brought you here for a reason. Something deep within your soul is listening even before your ears hear these words.

Many ask, “Am I blessed?” They compare bank accounts, health, success, or scroll through others’ lives online, quietly asking God, “What about me?” Let me tell you, blessing does not always look like comfort or happiness. Often, it is small, ordinary, easy to overlook—but heaven sees it clearly.

Today, I want to share three signs that you are truly blessed—even if your life feels heavy or no one understands your struggle. If you have even one, you are deeply blessed.

The first sign is that your heart still feels God, even in pain. If you can still pray when your prayers feel weak, whisper His name through tears, or feel something stir when you hear Scripture or see a cross, you are blessed. Many have wealth and applause, yet their hearts are empty. Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” To be poor in spirit means to know you need God.

If you feel broken, it may mean God is very close. The Psalms say, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” If your conscience still speaks, if you feel sorrow for sin, if you desire to be better and closer to God—you are blessed. Holiness begins with honesty, not perfection. Remember King David, St. Peter, who returned to God despite failings. The difference is the heart.

To those with small faith, remember Jesus said faith as small as a mustard seed is alive. If your faith is wounded but alive, you are blessed. The devil fears those who get up and return to God again and again.

God is not disappointed or tired of you. He waits to heal. Jesus embraced sinners who came with humility. If your heart longs for His touch, even quietly, you are blessed.

The second sign is that you have experienced love through imperfect people. Blessing is not perfect families or friendships, but love that endures despite flaws. It may be a mother’s faithfulness, a father’s presence, a grandmother’s prayers, a teacher’s kindness, or a stranger’s help. Love leaves marks on the soul.

If someone stayed when it was difficult, forgave when undeserved, or corrected with love, you are blessed. Even if love was mixed with pain, God can bring good from it. Some learn compassion, patience, mercy through wounds.

If you can forgive, even imperfectly, you are blessed. Forgiveness frees your heart. Jesus taught mercy keeps the heart alive; hatred closes it. If you desire peace over revenge, healing over bitterness, you are blessed.

Gratitude is also a sign of blessing. If you can thank God for small things—a meal, a smile, a kind word—you are blessed. Gratitude places suffering in God’s hands.

If love was missing, God can fill that void. The church exists because hearts need healing.

The third sign is trials that have humbled but not destroyed you. If life has tested you and you still stand, still breathe, still choose not to give up, you are blessed. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world.”

Suffering is not God’s absence; sometimes it is where God is closest. Many find prayer, grace, and mercy only after suffering. St. Paul’s thorn was not removed, but God’s power was perfected in weakness.

If you are alive after what should have broken you, if you are kind after anger, if you believe even when faith is heavy, you are blessed.

Yet suffering alone does not bless; it is how we respond. If pain hardened you, healing is needed. If pain softened you, God is at work.

Jesus was saved through suffering, not from it. The cross was transformed into resurrection.

If you feel weary, struggling, unseen, know God sees and knows. Your life matters.

Blessings call for humility and responsibility. Recognize the giver, not just the gift. Blessings are for sharing—small acts of love can change lives.

If you feel inadequate, remember Jesus used the least and smallest to carry His message.

Reflect now: think of your life, your heart that still loves, the love you received, the trials you survived. Thank God quietly. Recognition itself is prayer.

Blessings transform how you see yourself, others, and challenges. Ordinary moments become sacred.

Being blessed does not mean absence of problems, but that God is present through them.

If you have even one of these signs, you are blessed. If all three, God has been very close.

Nurture your heart with honest prayer. Pass love forward in small acts. Share your story gently; it may inspire others.

Live aware of blessing, and your life will overflow with gratitude, joy, and faith.

May God bless you abundantly.
