MSNBC is undergoing significant changes amid a sharp decline in viewership, particularly affecting its flagship program, The Rachel Maddow Show.

The network’s total audience has nearly halved since Election Day, with Maddow’s show experiencing a 41% drop in total viewers and a 50% decrease in the key 25–54 demographic .​

In response to these challenges, MSNBC has implemented a major programming overhaul.

Rachel Maddow’s show has been reduced to airing once a week on Mondays, while former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is set to take over the 9 p.m.
