Elon Musk is calling for the cancellation of Netflix over some of its content.

Several fans have decided to follow suit and cancel their Netflix subscriptions. Conservative pages on X have been bringing up the ‘woke’ content of some of the shows on the platform.

They claimed that the LGBTQ+ content was inappropriate for children.

Musk is leading the boycott from the front and has been tweeting several posts against the platform.

Musk actively joined the debate and urged his followers to cancel their Netflix accounts. Most of his social media posts have been centered around the so-called “saving the younger generation.”

Not only did he take issue with the gender politics, but also the platform’s alleged anti-White policies.

Some fans suspected that Musk intended to bring a rival platform to Netflix. He is currently developing an alternative to Wikipedia, called Grokipedia, after the former refused to sell to Musk.

Netflix is deliberately choosing to pay people to create sexualized content for children.

Freedom of speech should be respected, but this is PAID speech. Netflix is going out of their way and reaching into their wallet to push this.

There were three particular shows that Musk called out on his X page.

He retweeted the posts of other conservative accounts that called out these shows. Here are the Netflix kids’ shows that caught the eye of the billionaire.

1Dead End: Paranormal Park (2022-23)

The controversy began when @libsoftiktok brought up the content of the animated show, Dead End: Paranormal Park, which aired on Netflix.

The show, which was discontinued in 2023, featured the adventures of a transgender boy named Barney and his autistic Pakistani-American friend.

The user claimed that the LGBTQ+ content of the show was inappropriate for children, to whom the show was catered. Musk retweeted the post, commenting, “This is not ok.”

Things didn’t help when the creator of the show, Hamish Steele, allegedly disrespected Charlie Kirk’s assassination and called the conservative commentator a “Nazi.” Fans were furious over his comments and directed their anger towards Netflix, calling for the platform to be canceled.

Elon Musk then shared a tweet from @matt_vanswol, who shared an image of their cancelled Netflix subscription.

Musk wrote, “Same,” indicating that he, too, cancelled his subscription on the platform. It is unknown whether Musk had a Netflix account to begin with.

One of the other shows that Elon Musk brought up on his timeline was the 2020 kids’ show, The Baby-Sitters Club.

The user, @libsoftiktok, claimed that the show pushed for transgenderism on kids and shamed other characters for misgendering a boy.

The show is based on the children’s novel of the same name. It aired from 2020 to 2022 and received acclaim for its faithfulness to the source material.

It starred Alicia Silverstone, Sophie Grace, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph, and Xochitl Gomez.

The show featured the adventures of a bunch of middle-schoolers who start a babysitting business in their town. The show recently gained prominence on the streaming platform.

3Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake is a media franchise, originated from a series of greeting cards published by American Greetings.

Several animated television shows aimed at children have come out from the franchise, and several of them are now streaming on Netflix.

One user pointed out that one of the shows featured a character called TransBerry. Musk retweeted this user’s post and asked, “Why is “TransBerry” in a kids show on Netflix?”

After Elon Musk took issue with the content of Dead End: Paranormal Park, several users brought up other shows with problematic content.

Kids shows like Transformers: Earthspark and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous were criticized by some viewers for promoting gender identity themes.

Netflix continued to defend its content policies, despite the mounting pressure. The platform hasn’t directly addressed the criticisms from Musk and his followers.
