Rookie Cam Miller LIGHTS UP Preseason After Being ‘Handpicked by Tom Brady’ — Raiders Fans Already Planning His Statue!

Stop the presses.

Cancel your weekend plans.

And somebody get Aidan O’Connell a stress ball.

Because the Las Vegas Raiders just unleashed a sixth-round rookie who’s got the entire NFL gossip mill running hotter than a Kardashian wedding reception.

His name is Cam Miller.

He’s 24 years old.

Fresh off winning an FCS national title at North Dakota State.

And according to breathless whispers, he was “handpicked by Tom Brady” — which is basically the football version of being blessed by the Pope, knighted by the King, and followed by Beyoncé on Instagram all in one day.

And in his very first NFL preseason game, this alleged Chosen One went 6-of-7 for 83 yards, including a 41-yard touchdown strike that made Raiders fans scream, “Derek who?” from their couches.

It was the kind of performance that makes sports talk radio hosts lose their voices and opposing defensive coordinators start Googling “early retirement. ”

The Raiders’ quarterback depth chart was supposed to be simple.

Gardner Minshew with his glorious mustache would hold down the fort.

Aidan O’Connell, the steady sophomore, would be next in line.

And Cam Miller? Well, he was supposed to be a polite camp arm who holds a clipboard and occasionally carries helmets.

But then came Thursday night.

And suddenly, that “clipboard” is looking more like a golden scepter.

On his first drive, Miller played like someone had just told him his ex was in the stands with her new boyfriend and the only way to win her back was to torch the opposing secondary.

The rookie zipped passes into tight windows, called audibles with the swagger of a ten-year vet, and dropped that 41-yard bomb so perfectly you’d swear the football was equipped with a GPS.

“Cam Miller is the best sixth-round pick I’ve ever seen since Tom Brady,” gushed one unnamed NFL scout who definitely wasn’t overreacting.

“In fact, he might be better than Brady was as a rookie.

And taller.

And maybe more handsome.

Don’t print that last part. ”

Raiders fans, naturally, have already begun Photoshopping Miller into Hall of Fame jackets and discussing which year his jersey will be retired.

The hashtag #CamSavesVegas is trending, and one overly excited fan even changed his newborn son’s name from “Hunter” to “Cam” midway through the broadcast.

Of course, the “handpicked by Tom Brady” storyline is doing most of the heavy lifting here.

Brady, a minority owner in the Raiders, is rumored to have quietly pushed for the team to draft Miller.

Some say it was after watching game film.

Others claim Brady saw him throw a spiral in slow motion during a Nike ad.

A particularly bold rumor floating around Raiders Twitter suggests Brady received a prophecy from a fortune teller in Monte Carlo that “a young man from the Dakotas will restore balance to the franchise. ”

Whatever the case, Miller now carries the most dangerous label in sports: The Next Big Thing.

And as we all know, that’s either the beginning of a Hall of Fame career or the setup for a tragic ESPN “Where Are They Now?” special in 2029.

Miller’s teammates are already buying into the hype.

“He’s just… different,” said one anonymous Raiders receiver, who may or may not have caught that 41-yard touchdown.

“The ball comes out of his hand like it’s angry at the air.

And he smells like leadership. ”

Even head coach Antonio Pierce couldn’t help but grin when asked about the rookie.

“He’s got poise.

He’s got talent.

And if Tom Brady really did pick him? Well, then I guess we should probably listen. ”

Aidan O’Connell, meanwhile, is reportedly “not worried” about losing the backup job.

Which is the same thing people say right before deleting their LinkedIn profiles and starting a podcast.

The truth is, Miller’s meteoric rise is not just a feel-good story — it’s a quarterback controversy in the making.

And nothing sells newspapers, clicks, and bad takes like a good old-fashioned QB battle.

Vegas insiders are already crafting elaborate conspiracy theories.

Was Miller’s draft selection part of a secret Brady master plan to mold his own protégé? Is Minshew just a smokescreen while the Raiders fast-track Miller into the starting lineup? And most importantly, will Miller start wearing TB12 merchandise at press conferences, forcing us all to endure Brady’s smug smile for another decade?

The rookie’s composure after the game only added fuel to the fire.

Asked about his performance, Miller shrugged like he’d just parallel-parked instead of dissected a professional defense.

“I just wanted to go out there, execute the game plan, and help my team,” he said, in the exact monotone voice of a man who knows the internet is currently turning him into a meme.

No over-celebrating.

No chest-thumping.

Just the kind of calm demeanor that either means you’re destined for greatness or completely unaware of how crazy Raiders fans actually are.

NFL Draft: Raiders rookie Cam Miller gets stamp of approval from Tom Brady | Fox News

One fake-but-totally-believable sports psychologist we consulted — Dr.

Chase Huddle, author of “QB Mindset: Winning the Mental Super Bowl” — claimed this was a clear sign of “Brady DNA. ”

“You can tell when a quarterback has that ‘killer calm’,” Dr.

Huddle explained while polishing his sunglasses indoors.

“It’s the same thing we saw in Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Brady himself.

Either that, or he’s just really good at hiding his emotions.

But either way, he’s dangerous. ”

The NFL media machine is now in full frenzy mode.

SportsCenter is replaying the touchdown throw every fifteen minutes.

Talk shows are debating whether Miller could start Week 1 “if something happened” to Minshew.

One particularly deranged column in a Bay Area paper compared him to a young Patrick Mahomes “but with the grounded humility of Mr.

Rogers. ”

Even Madden players are already editing him into their starting lineup and boosting his stats to 99 just to see how ridiculous it feels.

Of course, there are cautionary tales.

For every Tom Brady, there’s a Matt Flynn — a quarterback who dazzled in one small sample size only to fade into obscurity faster than a viral TikTok trend.

But the Raiders have never been afraid of a little chaos.

And Miller’s arrival has injected enough chaos into the depth chart to make defensive coordinators nervous and Vegas sportsbooks giddy.

The real winners here might be the marketing department.

Season ticket reps are probably already drafting emails with subject lines like “Come See the QB Brady Doesn’t Want You to Know About” and “Witness History Before He Goes 7-for-7. ”

Raiders merch sales are spiking.

A street vendor in Henderson reportedly sold out of “Cam’s the Man” T-shirts by halftime.

And somewhere, Tom Brady is probably sipping avocado tequila and smiling at the monster he may or may not have created.

As for Miller himself, he seems unfazed by the circus.

“It’s just one game,” he repeated in the postgame press conference, which, in sports translation, means, “I know I’m a god now but I’m going to pretend I’m humble. ”

The Raiders faithful, however, aren’t interested in tempering expectations.

They’re already imagining a future where Miller hoists the Lombardi Trophy, gives a teary-eyed speech about being overlooked in the draft, and then retires at 28 to become the Governor of Nevada.

Tom Brady just placed immense pressure on Raiders' sixth-round pick

Until then, the rookie still has to survive the rest of the preseason, dodge the inevitable overhyped comparisons, and somehow avoid becoming a meme when he eventually throws his first interception.

But if Thursday night was any indication, the Raiders might have stumbled into something special.

Or at the very least, something extremely entertaining.

And in the NFL — especially in Las Vegas — that’s sometimes all you need.

So, buckle up, Raider Nation.

The Cam Miller Era may have just begun.

And if Tom Brady really did whisper his name into the draft room, well… you might want to start buying those Super Bowl tickets now.

Just don’t tell Aidan O’Connell.

He’s still “not worried. ”
