The premise of The Sunshine Murders centers around an unlikely crime-fighting duo: two very different half-sisters who are forced to team up to tackle the toughest mysteries in Athens.

Dora Chrysikou (Ilios) stars as Helen Moustakas, a dedicated Greek detective juggling her demanding career, her teenage daughter (played by Chloe Stannage), and the complexities of her relationship with her ex-husband.

Helen’s world is turned upside down when Shirley Rangi, portrayed by Emily Corcoran (known for her role in Mars), arrives from New Zealand, claiming to be her half-sister while searching for their missing father.

Initially, the two women could not be more different.

However, as the series unfolds, Helen soon realizes that Shirley’s “bush wisdom” and intuitive skills might just make her the perfect partner in solving Athens’ toughest mysteries—all while they continue their quest to find their missing father.

In the premiere episode, Shirley inadvertently helps Helen crack the case of a murdered archaeologist, setting the stage for their unexpected crime-solving partnership.

Marina Sirtis brings her signature elegance and depth to the role of Alexa Moustakas, Helen’s mother.

Sirtis has a long-standing legacy in the Star Trek universe, having portrayed the beloved Counselor Troi across 11 different Star Trek properties.

Her return to television in this new role marks a significant moment for fans who have followed her illustrious career.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Beacham is set to enchant audiences once again as Lady Gloria Whitten-Soames.

Known for her glamorous portrayal of Sable Colby in Dynasty and its spinoff The Colbys, Beacham’s presence in The Sunshine Murders adds a touch of sophistication and drama to the series.

Her past roles, including the title character in the short-lived NBC comedy Sister Kate and Iris McKay, Luke Perry’s on-screen mother in Beverly Hills, 90210, have solidified her status as a beloved television icon.
