During a recent live taping of The View, host Whoopi Goldberg paused the broadcast to address an audience member who was recording the show on his phone.

This interruption occurred during the “Hot Topics” segment, as co-host Sunny Hostin was discussing former President Donald Trump’s ongoing legal issues.

As the conversation progressed, Goldberg noticed the man filming and immediately stopped the discussion.

She stood up from her seat, walked across the stage, and addressed the individual directly, saying, “Sir, I have to stop you with the camera because I can see you. Do me a favor: don’t pull it out again. I’d appreciate that. Thank you.”

The audience responded with quiet applause as Goldberg returned to her seat. Co-host Joy Behar inquired about the situation, to which Sara Haines replied, “Recording.”

The View enforces strict rules for its live studio audience, including prohibitions against recording or taking photos during the taping.
