Throughout his tenure in the UFC, Derrick Lewis has gone viral several times for his post-fight celebrations and interviews.

On January 24, the UFC will host their first event of the year and their first event of their new broadcast partnership with Paramount with UFC 324.
As well as a title fight double header, there are several big names on the card, like former champions Sean O’Malley, Rose Namajunas, and Deiveson Figueiredo.
However, potentially one of the most popular fighters on the entire card is longtime heavyweight contender, Derrick Lewis, who takes on Waldo Cortes-Acosta.
Lewis sent crowd into hysterics after knocking out Ronda Rousey’s husband
When ‘The Black Beast’ joined the UFC back in 2014, he instantly won over the support of the fanbase because of his exciting fight style which always produced a finish one way or another.
But it wasn’t just his fight style that made him immensely popular amongst the fans.
Whenever Lewis had a microphone in his hand, fans knew that something hilariously outrageous was going to come out of his mouth.
And that was the case back in 2017 when he fought Ronda Rousey‘s husband, Travis Browne.
Going into the fight, Lewis was riding a five fight win streak, and he was quickly emerging as a potential title challenger in the heavyweight division.
There was a clear tension between the two going into the fight as Lewis brought up some of Browne’s past issues, which Browne called ‘ignorant’, and he was hoping to teach Lewis a lesson in the Octagon.

But that didn’t work out for Browne who was rendered unconscious in the second round after ‘The Black Beast’ landed a big overhand right on his temple. Lewis followed up with some extremely brutal ground-and-pound as Mario Yamasaki watched on before stopping it.
And in typical Lewis fashion, when he got on the microphone after the fight, he sent the crowd into hysterics, once again gaining popularity.
“I just knew I had a bigger heart than him, he calls himself a man but he likes to put his hands on women so forget that guy, I’ve got much more heart than he has.
“Where’s Ronda Rousey’s fine ass at?”
Despite making the crowd laugh, Lewis was in the doghouse after his comments as he later confirmed that his wife put him on a ‘sex ban’ because of his comments.
Other viral Derrick Lewis post-fight moments
That wasn’t the last time Lewis would go on to steal the headlines with a crazy post-fight moment.
In 2018 following his win over Alexander Volkov, Lewis famously ripped off his fight shorts and paraded around the cage in just his pants.
When he was asked by Joe Rogan why he did it, he replied: “Because my balls was hot.”
Lewis is looking to score his third win in a row when he takes on Cortes-Acosta, potentially once again adding himself to the title conversation.
