Fight EXPLODES between Musk & top Trump.

The clash began with what seemed like a routine political jab. According to insiders, Elon Musk made a series of comments criticizing a policy proposal linked to a prominent Trump associate—reportedly involving restrictions on green energy subsidies and a rollback of EV mandates. Musk, who has been a vocal supporter of sustainable energy and less government red tape, called the policy “regressive and anti-innovation.”
A top Trump advisor, believed to be Stephen Miller or possibly Steve Bannon, fired back publicly, branding Musk a “corporate welfare king” and accusing him of cozying up to the Biden administration to benefit his companies.

That was the spark—and the feud has since exploded across social and news platforms.
Not one to back down, Elon Musk responded via his X account: “America can’t win the 21st century by clinging to outdated ideas. We need bold vision, not fossil-fueled fantasies.”
He then followed with a not-so-subtle meme mocking Trump’s energy policy as a “boomer boondoggle.”
This set off a media frenzy, with Trump-aligned pundits accusing Musk of “going woke” and betraying conservative values, while others praised Musk for challenging what they see as political hypocrisy.

This isn’t the first time Musk has had friction with political leaders, but it’s the most directly hostile he’s been toward Trump’s inner circle. While Musk has had a complicated history with both political parties, he has leaned more libertarian than progressive in recent years.
But this feud has exposed a deeper divide:
Musk represents the Silicon Valley ethos: fast-moving, globalist, and highly skeptical of traditional government oversight.
Trumpism embodies a populist-nationalist platform: skeptical of big tech, global trade, and climate regulations.
What was once a strategic alliance (Musk was once on Trump’s business advisory council) has now turned into a battle of vision—and egos.
What This Means for Tesla, SpaceX, and the Tech Sector

This feud isn’t just a Twitter drama. There are real financial and policy stakes:
Tesla could lose out on favorable EV subsidies if a Trump-aligned Congress comes into power.
SpaceX, which has billions in government contracts, could see more scrutiny or even roadblocks from political opposition.
X (formerly Twitter) may become a battleground for culture wars, with potential impacts on moderation policies and user trust.
Musk’s increasingly political stance is also alienating some customers, investors, and even employees who prefer their CEO stay out of the partisan fray.
