The middleweight king hasn’t fought since taking the 185lb title from Dricus du Plessis at UFC 319 in August.

Sean Strickland and Anthony Hernandez will fight in a title eliminator at UFC Houston on February 21.

Nassourdine Imavov is also waiting in the wings for a shot at the middleweight champion, but Khamzat Chimaev is fixated on facing someone 20lbs heavier.

Khamzat Chimaev calls out Alex Pereira

On Monday morning, Khamzat Chimaev issued a callout to the UFC light heavyweight champion.

‘Borz’ wants to face Alex Pereira at White House when the UFC holds an event there on June 14.

The 15-0 Russian even shared his prediction for how their champion vs champion clash would play out.

“Let’s go White House,” Chimaev wrote on X—formerly known as Twitter

“Don’t worry, I will finish you fast @AlexPereiraUFC.”

He added: “All Brazilian fans tell this boy if you’re not scared tell him to fight.”

Alex Pereira won’t be fighting Jon Jones next

Jon Jones and Alex Pereira have been trying to fight each other for the past year.

Last week, ‘Bones’ revealed that the matchup will not happen because Dana White isn’t a fan of it.

“Pereira wants to fight me, but I don’t think Dana White’s gonna allow that to happen,” Jones said.

“It’ll be interesting to see what Dana wants.”

Who knows? Maybe the UFC CEO wants to see Pereira take on Khamzat Chimaev instead.

It’s a super fight that fans would be interested in, but Dana White needs to be on board to make it happen.
