Joe Rogan is known for his multifaceted career as a comedian and podcast host, among other gigs. But what may not be as widely known is his devotion as a father to his three daughters.

The former Fear Factor host revealed in the past that he doesn’t like to be away from his family for long – which includes wife Jessica Ditzel and daughters Kayja Rose, Lola, and Rosy. According to Essentially Sports, Rogan, 57, revealed, “I don’t like being gone for three days, like three days f*cks up my feelings.”

When talking about fatherhood, Rogan has a unique perspective on raising daughters versus sons. During a conversation with journalist Sebastian Junger in an episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he said, “I think the universe did me a solid by giving me only daughters,” going on to explain how he thinks boys come with a whole different set of challenges.

Rogan’s eldest daughter, Kayja Rose, was born in 1996 and is actually his adopted child. The UFC commentator’s wife, Ditzel, 49, gave birth to Kayja in a previous relationship with the late Kevin Conner before she married Rogan in 2009.

Kayja is currently carving out her own identity, making waves in the music industry. She debuted her five-track R&B EP, Tipsy, in 2017, which was well-received by listeners and fans on social media. Recently, in 2023, she released two singles, “I Miss You” and “Red Flags,” both of which are accessible on streaming platforms.

With over 8,000 followers on Instagram, the young musician is building her own audience just like her father.

Rogan has spoken affectionately about Kayja, often referring to her as not just a daughter but a friend. Reflecting on his relationship with his eldest on the Rosie O’Donnell Show, he said, “She’s an awesome kid. She’s not just a daughter, she’s my friend.”

Alongside Kayja, Rogan and Jessica have two other daughters, Lola and Rosy, born in 2008 and 2010, respectively.

While the family tends to keep things pretty private, the podcaster has often praised his wife on his podcast. The couple met in the early 2000s when Jessica was a cocktail waitress in Los Angeles, and after a brief stint in Colorado, they welcomed Lola before settling down in California. These days, the family calls a stunning $14 million home on Lake Austin in Texas their own.
