"wednesday" season 2, part 1 global premiere – arrivals

Jenna Ortega continues to up her fashion game while promoting the second season of Wednesday.

The spectacle kicked off this past Sunday at a launch event in London, where the Emmy nominee arrived in an inky, ab-baring look from Givenchy by Sarah Burton (and what stole the show was her puffy, arm-engulfing gloves).

Then, Ortega stepped out again on July 30, for the global premiere of part one at Central Hall Westminster in England. There, her look featured a much less voluminous silhouette, but was equally arresting (and revealing).

For the red carpet, Ortega and her stylist, Enrique Melendez, chose a nude dress from the Ashi Studio Fall 2025 Haute Couture collection. The result was like a shredded snakeskin draped over Ortega’s body—a creepy touch that Wednesday Addams would certainly approve of.

The body-hugging, sleeveless design was composed of a milky, sheer fabric with stained yellow details decorating the tattered hems of the bodice and skirt. It was not just the color, but also the raised, lattice-like detailing across the fabric that made the dress resemble a snakeskin. Other details included a high neck, laces up the back, a jutting, sculptural waist, and a train that trailed behind her.

Originally, when the design closed the Ashi Studio couture show, the model wore nothing underneath. However, Ortega appeared to be wearing bra cups, which made the bodice slightly less revealing. Nevertheless, much of her skin still peeked through.

Ortega completed the look with mixed-metal rings and earrings from Rainbow K, and she tied her hair into a long ponytail, with the top half framing her face like a bob.

“I’m doing a show I’m going to be doing for years where I play a schoolgirl… but I’m also a young woman,” she told Harper’s Bazaar for her summer 2025 cover story. “I definitely feel like I have a bit more Gothic taste than I did when I was a teenager.”

She may be playing a teen on screen, but Ortega, and her style, are clearly all grown up.
