Demi Lovato surprised fans at the Jonas Brothers’ concert on August 10 at MetLife Stadium, performing iconic Camp Rock songs with ex Joe Jonas.
It was a night of pure Disney Channel nostalgia at MetLife Stadium on Sunday (August 10) when Demi Lovato made a surprise appearance during the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour.
The 32-year-old singer walked on stage towards the end of opening night in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and fans went wild. Demi and Joe Jonas, who are exes, are still friendly with each other.
Demi reunites with ex Joe at The Jonas Brothers concert
Brought out as one of the evening’s big surprises, Demi reunited with Joe Jonas for a special performance of Camp Rock classics This Is Me and Wouldn’t Change a Thing – sending longtime fans straight back to 2008 and 2010 when the two starred together in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Demi took to her Instagram to share a video from the concert and wrote, “thanks for having me”, tagging the band that also has brother Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
After the performance, Joe kept the throwback vibes going, posting a TikTok of him and Demi lip-syncing to Wouldn’t Change a Thing.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the playful chemistry between the former co-stars and exes.
The night also turned into a mini Camp Rock reunion as Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, who appeared in both films, co-hosted the official livestream alongside Franklin Jonas – the youngest Jonas brother who had a cameo in Camp Rock 2.
Franklin even joined his brothers and parents on stage to close the show with When You Look Me In the Eyes.
Demi’s husband approves of Demi and Joe’s friendship
But if anyone was wondering how Demi’s husband, musician Jordan Lutes, felt about the reunion, the answer is: totally supportive! Lutes, 34, who married Demi in May, flooded her Instagram reel’s comments with three hysterical emojis and four clapping hand emojis.
On Instagram Stories, he proudly wrote that he ‘couldn’t be more proud’ of his wife, sharing a clip of her heading onstage and captioning it, “I love you soooo much baby.”
Between the epic performances, the nostalgic throwbacks, and the wholesome support from Demi’s husband, the night proved that some Disney magic never fades, and neither does a great Camp Rock duet.
Fans are now wondering if Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift would also pay a visit to The Jonas Brothers on their anniversary. Afterall, anything is possible after this huge surprise!
