The year is 2026, and somehow the long rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier brews on.

Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier first met in the UFC Octagon back in 2015, and that sparked the beginning of one of the most bitter rivalries in combat sports history.

And that rivalry continues to spark on to this day, as this Monday afternoon, it was shockingly announced that the pair of former UFC champions will coach against each other in the Russian version of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’.

Alf Reality went viral last year for pitting Jones and Nate Diaz against each other in their ‘Ultimate Fighter’ like series, and they have pulled out all the stops for their next season.

Cormier calls Jones out for real rematch

Despite the fact that the two have faced off with each other for the first time in years, the series will not culminate with the two fighting each other in any realm.

But ‘DC’ has a better idea. Real American Freestyle Wrestling has been stealing the headlines for the past couple of months after putting together some extremely compelling matchups.

The likes of Yoel Romero, Arman Tsarukyan, and Henry Cejudo are competing under the RAF banner, and the promotion is doing a tremendous job of bringing a light back to the sport of wrestling.

And with that in mind, Cormier has called for a third fight against ‘Bones’, but this time, on the RAF mats.

“I’m telling you, Real American Freestyle Wrestling is gonna see me and Jon Jones at some point, and I’m gonna kick his ass, like you would never believe,” Cormier said in his latest video on his YouTube channel.

“Because guess what? I still shoot, I still train wrestlers every single day, so I don’t have a problem shooting,” Cormier continued.

Will we ever see Jones and Cormier compete against each other again?

Despite both fighters having retired from combat sports, the combat sports world continues to create insane matchups that no one can see coming.

And although Jones and Cormier are 38 years old and 46 years old respectively, there seems to be a small chance that the two compete against each other again in some realm.
