Dana White has been advised to cut Paddy Pimblett from the UFC roster after what one top contender viewed as a dismal showing on Saturday night.

Dana White Tells Everyone What He 'Didn't Love' About Paddy Pimblett at UFC 324

The UFC boss is unlikely to listen to the demand given that Pimblett just went five rounds in a fight of the year contender against Justin Gaethje. And their UFC 324 headliner brought in record-breaking viewership for their first show on Paramount+.

Pimblett has often been accused of having a cherry-picked path to his first title shot. And now he is going to have to rebuild, likely being forced to face much tougher tests on the way back to the division’s summit.

Arman Tsarukyan wants Paddy Pimblett cut from UFC after defeat

There’s no love lost between Arman Tsarukyan and Paddy Pimblett, with the Scouse star claiming earlier this month that he enjoys ‘laughing at’ the top contender. The top contender was clearly snubbed for a shot at the interim belt, despite being ranked higher than both Gaethje and Pimblett.

He even scored a win over Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar, who was ranked higher than either of the two interim contenders’ latest wins in Rafael Fiziev and Michael Chandler respectively. But he had to watch from the crowd, where he enjoyed seeing Pimblett suffer a brutal five round defeat from up close.

And he believes that Pimblett’s performance was so bad that he should be removed from the promotion altogether. “He needs to take a break for five-six years after that fight,” he told Ariel Helwani on tonight’s show.

“It was so bad for his brain, he was already stupid, now he’s going to be crazy, even crazier… I was like to the UFC ‘cut him now,’ this bulls— guy. He’s the worst UFC fighter… Bro, he’s so bad, like this trash can, he’s a zero fighter.”
