It doesn’t look like Dana White and the UFC will be keeping tabs on one fighter.

The UFC president has recently been signing talent to Zuffa Boxing before the promotion held its first event on Friday night where Callum Walsh defeated Carlos Ocampos.

However, later today, his focus turns back towards the leading MMA promotion for their first event of the Paramount+ era.

UFC 324 could’ve featured the hottest free agent in combat sports if a deal had been agreed ahead of January 24.

One fighter who clearly has big plans for his career went about attracting the attention of the UFC’s bosses in the wrong way on Thursday night.

Dana White responds to fighter who mocked him when calling for a shot in the UFC

On January 22 at Tuff-N-Uff 151 in Las Vegas, a UFC employee produced a stunning four-second knockout to deliver one of the highlights of the night.

Another notable moment from the event came from a fighter’s post-fight interview rather than his performance inside the cage.

David Goldenberg certainly made some noise after making fun of Dana White after advancing to 3-0 in his professional career.

“Hey Sean Shelby, Hunter Campbell, and who’s the third musketeer? The bald guy. Kinda looks like a bloated Mr. Clean,” he said in the cage. “What’s his name Dean, Don, Dino? Dana White, better wake up m————! Next big thing is here so get your check book ready, let’s make some money.”

The response from fans was somewhat split, with some getting a kick out of this bold statement while others argued that he’d likely ruined any chance of ever fighting in the UFC.

White’s response to Goldenberg’s comments on social media suggests that the latter appears to be the UFC president’s stance.

“Worst fight of the night,” he wrote. “Stunk the place up with his performance and then talks like he put on the Fight of the Night. The fight after his was a women’s fight that made his fight look even s——-. Smilla Sundell blows Scrappy D—– outta the water!!”

Former ONE champion Smilla Sundell clearly impressed Dana White

As Dana White referred to in his comments, there were other fighters at Tuff-N-Uff 151 that did all of the talking with their performances inside the cage.

The name specifically mentioned by the UFC president was Smilla Sundell, who won her pro MMA debut by producing a vicious assault in the clinch.

Sundell has only recently made the transition to MMA from Muay Thai.

The 21-year-old Swede became the youngest person to ever win a world title in Muay Thai when she beat Jackie Buntan to win ONE Championship’s inaugural strawweight title at just 17 years old.

Her age and ruthless striking make her one to watch in 2026 now that she’s on the UFC’s radar.
