Anderson does not have a partner. His previous relationship was with businessman Benjamin Maisani. He began dating Benjamin Maisani, a French businessman and bar owner, in 2009. Their relationship blossomed over nearly a decade.

In 2015, they officially confirmed their relationship by attending events, including the GLAAD Media Awards, where they showcased their bond to the world. Cooper and Maisani announced their separation in March 2018 despite their strong connection. According to Daily Mail, Cooper stated: “Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago we are still family to each other and will continue to share their lives.”
