Pastor Rebukes Christians Over Viral Dress Foolishness: Stop Wasting Time on Trivial Matters!
In a passionate and uncompromising sermon, a pastor delivered a powerful rebuke to Christians who have become distracted by trivial controversies circulating on social media—particularly those fixated on viral dress debates.
He called this obsession foolishness that wastes valuable time and energy that should instead be devoted to the true mission of the church.
His message was clear: the church is not a place to police appearances or engage in petty gossip but a spiritual battlefield where lives are raised from death, broken hearts are healed, and the pure Word of God is proclaimed to bring about signs and wonders.

The pastor opened by expressing his frustration with the church’s preoccupation with “somebody’s dress” or “somebody dancing in church,” labeling it a distraction from what truly matters.
“Why should I spend my time talking about somebody’s dress when I need to talk about somebody’s life?” he asked.
His words reflected a deep conviction that the church’s energy should be channeled toward uplifting people spiritually, not tearing them down over superficial matters.
He applauded comedian Duski for his skit that exposed the absurdity of such distractions within the church.
The humor in Duski’s performance, the pastor explained, revealed how these trivial controversies have become a recurring pattern—starting small but eventually dominating conversations and pulling attention away from the transformative power of God’s Word.

The pastor warned that if the church begins with such distractions, it will likely end up trapped in them, missing the pure, unadulterated message that produces real miracles and change.
Central to his message was a call to “think bigger” and “expect bigger.”
He emphasized that God requires new capacity and new mindsets from His people to receive the blessings and anointing He desires to pour out.
“You cannot pour bigger if you think smaller,” the pastor declared.
This statement served as an admonition to expand one’s vision beyond comfort zones and limited thinking, encouraging believers to prepare their minds for the greater things God has in store.
The pastor also spoke candidly about the dangers of settling for less than God’s best.

He used vivid illustrations, such as owning a mansion too large to maintain or a car too expensive to repair, to highlight how many believers desire blessings without the readiness or mindset to sustain them.
He challenged his congregation to prepare their hearts and minds to embrace the level of anointing and blessing God is calling them to, rather than remaining stuck in survival mode or small-minded thinking.
Drawing from scripture, the pastor reminded his audience that the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead dwells within every believer.
This divine power grants authority to speak life, command change, and live victoriously.
Yet, he lamented, many Christians live as though they are in survival mode, failing to tap into the abundant life and authority they have through the Holy Spirit.

He made a bold declaration that the church is not called to be normal or small-minded.
“We are not normal,” he proclaimed.
“We’re built for greatness.”
This statement encapsulated the heart of his message—a call to reject mediocrity and embrace the extraordinary calling God has placed on His people.
The pastor’s message concluded with a firm exhortation to stop wasting time on petty disputes, gossip, and distractions that serve the enemy’s agenda.

He reminded believers that the devil is a liar who thrives on diverting the church’s attention from its divine mission.
Instead, Christians must focus on the mighty works God wants to accomplish through them by living with purpose, faith, and an expanded mindset.
This sermon serves as a wake-up call for the church to rise above the noise of social media controversies and trivial debates.
It challenges believers to align their priorities with God’s kingdom purposes—prioritizing life transformation, spiritual growth, and the demonstration of God’s power over superficial concerns.
By doing so, the church can move forward to new levels of impact and glory.
