President Donald Trump‘s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has been named as Fox News’ newest host—a role that will see her anchoring her own hourlong Saturday night show, which is scheduled to premiere Feb. 22.

Lara Trump Is Named as New Fox News Host—So, Will She and Eric Return to New York Penthouse They Left for $3.2 Million Florida Mansion? Fox News

The 42-year-old—who is married to the president’s son, Eric Trump—is no stranger to TV, having previously served as a producer on “Inside Edition” and worked as an on-air contributor for the conservative news network from March 2021 to December 2022 after her father-in-law lost the 2020 election.

However, her new show, “My View with Lara Trump,” which will air every Saturday at 9 p.m., will see the former Republican National Committee co-chair taking center stage in front of the cameras for the first time.

In a press release announcing Lara’s new program, Fox News revealed she will “will focus on the return of common sense to all corners of American life as the country ushers in a new era of practicality.”

However, the network has yet to confirm where the show will be filmed; while Fox News’ studios are in New York City, Lara and her husband are based in Jupiter, FL, having quit their Manhattan home and relocated to the Sunshine State with their two children in 2022.

The couple purchased a sprawling mansion inside an “exclusive” gated community within the Trump National Golf Club for $3.2 million in 2021; however, Realtor.com® estimates it is now worth upward of $7.7 million.

Eric and Lara followed President Trump’s footsteps and changed their official residence from the Big Apple to Florida in 2022.

Lara would by no means be the only Fox News host to film a show from Florida, should she be given that option; longtime anchor Sean Hannity also relocated south in January 2024, snapping up multiple properties in and around Palm Beach, where he now tapes the majority of his shows.

However, given the vast studio spaces that Fox News holds in New York City, it may be preferable for Lara to tape in the Big Apple—where she and Eric own a sizable penthouse property inside of one of Trump’s numerous residential buildings.

When they relocated to Florida, they opted to lease out that apartment, with records indicating it was last on the rental market for a whopping $17,000 a month.

It is currently unclear if the same tenant is still living there.

At the time, Eric told Forbes: “I’m out of New York. Leased my apartment, moved my family, put my kids in a new school in Florida.”

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom apartment spans 2,625 square feet, having been made up of three separate units, which Eric purchased from his father in 2016 for well below market price, paying just $350,000 each for two of the dwellings—which was about half of what they had been listed for, according to ProPublica.

He then combined all three units into one enormous abode, which served as his family’s primary residence until 2022, when Lara and Eric followed in Trump’s footsteps by naming their Florida home as a permanent base.

In 2021, Lara and Eric picked up their luxury estate in Jupiter for $3.2 million. The property sprawls across 7,715 square feet and is said to be the largest home in the exclusive Eagle Tree gated community at Trump National Golf Club.

With four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the Tuscan-inspired design opens to a “spectacularly appointed” interior.

The property is the epitome of elegance thanks to its two-story, coffered ceilings; crown molding; marble flooring; and Venetian plaster.

The gourmet kitchen has a marble island and Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Miele appliances.

A spacious floor plan incorporates a formal dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a wood-paneled office, and a wet bar with seating.

Outside, on over a half-acre, the grounds include a large pool, a cabana with a bathroom, and an outdoor kitchen, perfect for hosting a family barbecue.

The mansion had last been listed on the market in December 2020 for $3.3 million, with Cary Lichtenstein, of Echo Fine Properties.

Before Lara and Eric bought it, the home was last sold for $2,427,000 in 2013.

As a bonus, the home is about 5 miles from Admiral’s Cove, the neighborhood where Don Jr. and his former partner, TV personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, purchased a $10 million property in 2021.

Don Jr.’s ex-wife, Vanessa, and their five children also reportedly live in the upscale area.

The exclusive locale is about 20 miles from former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Club, where he and his wife, Melania, moved after he left office.

Just down the road, Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner, have a $24 million megamansion on Indian Creek Island.

In 2019, the president began the Trump exodus from New York City by tweeting: “My family and I will be making Palm Beach, Florida, our permanent residence.

“I cherish New York, and the people of New York, and always will, but unfortunately, despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state.”
